I have just been waiting for an hour just to play Avp (i tried it yesterday too, to no avail)..outta 33 million PS3 users ive managed to find 4 people (and thats not enough for a bloody game?) i STILL havnt played it yet
what the hell is going on?? its a free multiplayer demo FFS!
has anybody else managed to get 1 game??

I left it on for an hour last night too and then gave up. You must be the one other person i kept connecting to then and dropping. :)
Hmm, don't hold much hope for this then if it can't even handle basic matchmaking.. and i love Aliens :(

Just got the demo and managed to get into a game after about 5 min wait.
I must say that it is not a very pretty game. Plus the controls are weird.
Well I off to play BFBC2 demo :)

I downloaded it on 360 last night and managed 2 games after about a 5 min wait each time. 3rd match up was boarding on 10mkins so just turned it off.
Not overly sold on the multiplayer but single player campain looks impressive

I got 2 games in last night, but had to wait around 10mins for each.. Played Marine and Alien. Feels very old school (no aiming, health/item pickups, etc), but it felt Alienesque.. The Alien was cool, but weird.. Stealth very much required for that.
The demo did not sell itself well at all. This was a definite buy for me, I loved the PC originals and the movies, comics, etc.. But now Im waiting to see what the reviews are like. Why they chose to show bog standard Quake-style Deathmatch and then force you to search through the games again every time you want to replay.. Its like it was designed to frustrate.
If they can sort out the delays in matchmaking and the other MP modes are awesome, then this still has great potential, but as it is, the MP side just fails.. Hopefully the SP campaigns are worth the money.

completly agree, ive just ried again with a friend…no joy..this must be the WORST demo ever to be released..as its fucking broken!
i played the originals too on the pc back way back, so ive got a fair idea whats going on, but in all fairness if they cant get a frigging online demo to work…what are the chances of the full game working??(online) they should of sorted out the servers before dropping this, as as it stands im incredibly put off..p.s the in game matchmaking/menus are clumsy as fuck..is this a ps2 game??
Rubbish..i will try again later, if it doesnt work im deleting it!!
p.p.s why has the developer not made any word on this either?? just screams lazyness..and does'nt bode well

I got into 3 games today, took about 5-15 mins to connect to anyone though!

i was a bit disappointed with this and bad company. AvP because, well, because i couldn't get on it!
BF:BC2 just didn't grip me the way the first one did and i don't think the maps were that good and the controls are a bit strange

Try changing the soldier and vehicle controls to battlefield 1 controls..they work better then
p.s the demo is no where near as good as the beta, i think i was spoiled because i cant level up in this demo (and i cant get a red dot sight on my medic, which pisses me off no end) believe me the final game will be ace

Try getting into big parties, I got into many games without fail yesterday although it did take quite some time. My average party size was 5 BTW.
