Well I was getting it but I wasn't hyped about it, it just gets me on how much they've tried to make it so unbelievably realistic and then they don't put which in my mind is a massive element of F1, the safety car bunches up the pack and makes it a much more interesting race, I would much rather watch/play a F1 race when the cars are all fighting for first than one guy who wins buy 20 seconds. Imagen this, say you become great at playing the game to the point where you can beat the rest of the pack by 20 odd seconds wouldn't you rather a safety car come out and still have exciting finale or would you prefer to do the last 10 laps in first bored out you're mind! and its the same if you're mid pack, you get a safety car in front it helps out you're chances allot on the restart… in my mind it added a whole new side to the game, a side that I presumed would be in there due to it being so realistic 'n' all, but I guess not, I will probably pick it up in a few months when it's a bit cheaper….That's just me though.
They've confirmed that Saftey Car will feature in the next game, but seeing as this was their first F1 game, they decided to try to keep it to the 'core' racing aspect, as they had to build the whole engine from scratch.
Everytime I see something else about this game I get even more excited about it. The only down sides so far are the lack of Safety car and 12 player lobbies but they are minor gripes. Overall I think this is shaping up to be an awesome game.
The safety car issue is disappointing as I would have loved to seen that in the game but I understand the reasons for it not being there this time round. 12 player lobbies means that its harder for groups of people to meet up (as we do on TSA) but for the regular gamer who is playing against andoms it shouldnt be much of an issue to them. I would have liked to have been able to have 2 (human) drivers in the same team as it adds another competition element.
The positive aspects of the game do far outweigh these small gripes though. The dynamic weather, race engineer, media system, human controlled pit entry, AI that (hopefully, only time will tell) actually defends its position intelligently instead of plodding around on the same line are some of the features that have made this my most anticipated game release of the year.
I am just desperate to get my hands on this game, safety cars would be a nice touch but I can live without….icu dude, I was expecting a race or two with you.

Don't worry freeze, you can always come and Burnout and race in then F1 car, although I don't think it it would have the same desired effect
Is there any sign-up already for the TSA Championship? I have the game pre-ordered with ShopTo.net and would love to get in on some TSA action.
EDIT: Also, any news on trophies? Where is Skibadee when you need him?
Trophies went in the trophies forum ages ago, its on the 2nd page on blu-ray release games or whatever its called
Nope no sign up for any form of TSA championship yet. It's being planned and arranged behind the scenes, and time will be allowed for people to play the game for a bit before it starts. You will have to wait until its officially revealed for now.

OMG! Bring it on, I just want so desperately to be racing an F1 car after 3 years of waiting. CE was good but this game will be so close to the reality nail….One get's cheese forming just waiting!

For cam the man, there is definitely no mid race saving. Prevents people being in P1 and then saving and just loading everytime they drop a place. Source is below, its right near the bottom of that huge quote.
Also for those of you who havnt already seen it IGN have posted a preview of the game here.
Edit: Oh and be prepared for some F1 2010 game footage on BBC 1 this grand prix weekend. Sounds like Jake Humphreys has been racing with some drivers on the game :)
Cheers AG, I suppose there would have been quite a lot of people would use mid race saves that way.
I'll be watching out for some F1 2010 footage this weekend. I hope Jake Humphreys is a better driver on a console than he is in real cars, all the racing he's done for the BBC so far has been crap.
I think the programme time (and money) would be better spent on features about the cars etc.
