I managed to find the video of sony showing the 'puppet' body tracking, I know it isn't as complicated as natal but it shows of the head tracking very well and looks very impressive, write what you think below. Also, give your opinion about 'Move' in general. Are you impressed in the Hardware but not the Software (yet), or do you just think gamers just won't get on with motion controls in general?:
EDIT: On a side note, there were games shown during the 'developers update' at gamescom, most of them were announced during GDC, but a few weren't, I'm especially intruiged about the Torch-game.
You can also see it during the GDC montage at the 2:12 mark, check it out. (It is a couple of seconds long, quite small, but it confirms it hasn't been canned!)
Makes sense, after all, the current PSeye and the old Eyetoy games on PS2 were all body tracking/figuring out tech. The only place where Natal will have an advantage is in that they have the tandem cameras for more accurate depth perception, and also that it has the IR camera so that it'll work in low light situations.
The PSeye gets around the light situation by having larger pixels being detected, which I forget how that helps, really, but it was done purposefully for that. It's also tracking that big glowing light ball on the controller.
Anyway, not exactly unexpected, but good to see. Basically, it means that Move can do everything the Wii can, and with some careful coding, everything Natal can too. It literally is the best of both worlds.
OMG I can't wait for this to be released. I fell in love with the EyeToy back when it was released and never understood why they didn;t release more games for it. I'm really hoping this takes off and goes further than EyeToy did.
Although the word of caution is that Natal supports tracking of 47 body points and is not just limited to upper body, which obviously includes hips, legs and feet, and does so without the need to purchase 2 x peripherals costing a fortune.
I wonder why Sony didn't just bite the bullet and create a PSEye v2.0 (with enhanced motion capture and IR tech.) I know they would have got a few cheesed off customers (me included) but over the life of the PS Move system I think the limitiations of the current PsEye will come to the fore.
Whereas now they are tied in to this rather limited and now old tech

I really need to see Natal, and can't believe they weren't at GDC – I suppose we'll have to wait another 3 months until E3 to see just how useful (or useless) it really is.
