For those fortunate to have a 3D TV, this PSN game is now able to be displayed in 3D. If you already have the game it needs to be be downloaded again to enable the 3D mode(must have been patched recently) the existing downloaded game on your hard drive isn't enabled.Enjoy!!

Yes it's been updated already, but only by redownloading it. This may be an error on Sony's part, so it might get pulled to be released at a later date.
edit: will try redownloading wipeout as well later

Damn! that is a shame Jas-n, but is only a week away. I wonder how long before the Sony will release the demo of Motorstorm in 3D, as it is supposed to be a limited timed exclusive to buyers of Sony 3D TV's. Have the full game, but it would be nice to see it in 3D.

So you can confirm that it runs and displays in 3D on a 3D-capable TV before the PS3's 3D firmware is out?

Yes it works, also reference to it here as well, scroll to the bottom part of this thread on avforums:

I quite liked this game as an early PS3 release, and now it looks incredible.
More just a sense of depth than anything, but some explosions really come out of the screen and feel as though the pixels are coming right for ya.
I can't wait for the patch for Wipeout HD!!
Then also:

Okay, had to delete and download again. 3D works automatically as described.
And it looks err…. WOW!

Since I got my 3D TV, the first thing that I noticed was that the PS3 detected that I had a 3D TV (even via my Amp).
It asks for the screen size of the 3D TV.
I just assumed that this was a precursor to the gaming 3D update that we're all waiting for…
…but then I tried out the Super Stardust HD game that someone rumoured was now in 3D – I'd assumed that maybe there was a split-screen option that I'd missed (like in Invincible Tiger).
For some reason I only had the update/demo downloaded, so I re-downloaded the full game, and then when I started it, my TV prompted me to switch on my 3D glasses.
I'm going to try re-downloading Wipeout HD tonight – just in case.

Wicked! re-downloading now! EDIT: It won't work! I've deleted everything, redownloaded it…and theres no mention of 3D on start up? I have a Samsung C7000…i don't need a HDMI 1.4 for PS3 do i? Could the problem be that i'm using my NTSC PS3?
I really hope we get the 3D update next week in Europe! As the week after i'm on holiday!
You listening Sony? RELEASE IT NEXT WEEK!

The PS3 has had its update for 3D games (was the lasty one) the one we (3DTV owners) are waiting for it the Update to enable 3D Blu-ray playback.
Just Sony Being Awkward bastards.

but they have taken away Custom Soundtracks from the 5.0 update.
They have? are you sure?
They might have just changed the mechanism, so that instead of being handled by the game going into the XMB, you go into the XMB and just select the music you want to play.
But if they removed this functionality, then that's really lame.

You might just have answered one of my key concerns. I've got an expensive Denon amp that's only a couple of years old and I didn't want to find out that that I wouldn't be able to run 3D through it. There's no way I could afford to upgrade my TV and my amp.
