So Mike can you give us any info as to why the ultimate alliance 2 DLC was missed off from this weeks update? Just the official games site mentioned in late october that it would be available here on the 12th. Did Sony screw up or did Vicarious visions screw up?

It can’t be missed off if it’s not submitted to us for publish on that date.
and from the game's official forums
Hi folks,
I think someone is pulling your leg here—if Sony Europe didn’t receive the DLC, they would have contacted us before the American DLC was released. We sent all our DLC through the necessary channels some time ago (also, it’s not just like we e-mail it over and they post it up same day. There’s a process to these things).
Please don’t spread rumors! It doesn’t help information get out any faster. We’re looking into what’s going on and will have information soon.

can't take the credit for this, on the blog you'll see the post that highlights this.
oh, mike's response.
"I’m not getting into this any further on the blog, it’s a discussion to have between ourselves and the publisher."
maybe mike isn't being told the whole truth or maybe he's lying, maybe it's just a mistake.
but maybe, just maybe all those times when dlc gets released worldwide except where scee are involved was actually scee's fault after all.
hell, not like this is a first either.

Yeah makes sense, SCEE recieve games/DLC but instead of getting it out as soon as possible so they can make money off it the decide to just sit on in purely to piss off their customers. Well known business model there, that's how Alan Sugar made his millions.

Doubt Mike would lie of his own accord, but maybe someone has told him to say this.
Or otherwise he may just be clueless, as they haven't contacted him.

Piss off, I doubt it's bloody easy running the PSN Store. Gut the guys some slack.

mike said it's in the system somewhere he just can't see it.
i don't think mike would lie to us deliberately, but then i don't really know him.
the problem seems to be scee, they're obviously receiving the content and then it's getting lost.
who knows, the tomb raider games could be sitting on an scee hard drive somewhere all but forgotten, maybe they have cash guns chaos sitting on a hard drive somewhere ready to go, and it could have been sitting there for two and a half years.

Think your sarcasm detector's on the blink. You might want to get that looked at.

My dad works as a press officer to BMI, (this gets on topic eventually) he is just the middle man, passing info to the press. He has a timetable of stuff to be published, and stuff highlighted in red he cannot talk about at all and must avoid at all costs, just an idea of how it works.

It doesn't matter whether individual things are SCEE's fault or the developers fault, I think both are at fault on equal number of occasions
What is Sony/SCEE's fault is that they are responsible for the eco-system which leads people from different regions to believe they're being shafted. Different regions feel it at different times.
It's Sony's eco-system, its Sony's procedures, it Sony's way of doing business, so even if it's isn't their fault – It actually is their fault – you get me?

With you on this one, Chris.
I think Sony just have unify their whole games market. Just one Store, everything available everywhere. Also the Blu-Ray games. I'd say forget about localization, release everything in English and your done. No more bitching and moaning by consumers who feel shafted…

The thing with a unified system is that the same people don't always own the distribution rights in different regions. The only real way to get that done, is to not allow companies to publish anything unless they manage to convince the other regional distributors to release in their regions… since we're in Europe, then really that's fine, we'd probably end up getting more stuff since it would force companies to pay attention to us… but I think that people in the US might get alittle annoyed.
Frankly, I've got the feeling that Microsoft will be doing this with most things on Live. I mean, I think all demos/DLC get same-day worldwide release. Though, they don't seem to have any rules on stuff that have anything to do with TV/Movies/Advertising (e.g. Mountain Dew, Sprint)
