Hunter what part of the game do you (and Flexx) need help on? This game's easy, all the trophys can be easily achieved as single player. I'm no way near as good as the both of you at gaming and I managed to get all the trophys myself 
Hint: Concentrate on your timing, once you've sussed it out you'll be hitting sixes all the way home 
Edit: Another hint – Batting challenge no. 6. You'll find this one a nightmare at first as those spin bowlers are pretty lethal, so to counter them hold down L1 and L2 when you bat.

Yeah I've since managed Hat Trick, Top Hat Trick and 10 wickets, and 10 wickets in under 10 overs but bowling is such a pain and the timing for it sucks, I have to reload more than I play lol

Use spin bowlers as they literally run circles around the batsman. I found the fast bowlers weren't too affective even if their stats where high eg. Freddy Flintoff. Release the ball when the meter is at the max (light green colour) and hold R1 or R2 to let the ball swing into or swing away from the batsman.
Adjust your fielders positions pushing L3 left or right. Play using a good team (I chose Australia) and choose Kenya as your opposition. Customise your team by choosing the best 11 players on the Aussie team and the do the same for your opposing team but obviously choose their worst players. Just before you start a game on the left hand side of the screen it gives you the option to change your team line-up and the same for your opponents. Oh, last of all I found left handed batsmen hard to bowl out so I ended up relying on my wicket keeper and fielders to catch the ball.
The trophy descriptions can be a bit misleading and I had to google what some of the cricket termanology meant. The game's time consuming (especially the Ashes series) and does get boring so take a brake every now and then, the damn thing made me sleepy lol. To enjoy this game you really need to play it as two player in exihibtion mode for 30 mins max.

yeah I would play 2 player though my net is slow and can never connect properly, and even harder to get friends to help when it has to be a ranked match lol

Unfortuantely there's no way of speeding up the Ashes. You're just going to have to slug it out, sorry fella.
