OfflineTo be honest, considering the first one was a strictly single player affair, i can't see this being like sending something to someone on your friends list – It's more likely an in game scripted event.
I could of course be wrong (its been known to happen!), but to be frank, i can't even think what you would be able to send to others that they couldn't get for themselves. One of the main parts of the first game was collecting your weapons & abilities & it would be a bit strange if they suddenly just let you skip parts of that.

Does it look like you'll be able to get all these trophies without a day one downloadable code? I hope there isn't a pass just to trade weapons with people – which btw that is what the friend thing is for.
There is a pass to unlock the crucible. There's also a trophy relating to it. It shouldn't be a problem if you buy the game new.

OfflineNo offence intended here, but i really hope you guys aren't right.
This isn't the sort of game that needs an online pass in any way, shape or form – In fact, if THQ have included such a thing in order to make a quick buck, i can see it effectively being corporate suicide.
The last thing a struggling studio needs to do is annoy half it's fanbase by inluding unnecessary online passes with single player games. There are a percentage of people that won't buy it purely on principle if they hear it has an online pass.
Its a different situation of course, but look at the uproar with Arkham City.
As i mentioned above as well, part of the beauty of these games is exploring the world & discovering the weapons & stuff for yourself. What's the point if they are going to include shortcuts & the like?

OfflineI think we have nothing to worry about. The crucible pass is just to gain early access to something that's already offered to you through progressing with the story n the season pass is just for any additional dlc. Still made me annoyed at the thought. I just completed risen 2 which had day one dlc of an extra 6 trophies but luckily they made sure that it was not counted towards the platinum.

OfflineI can confirm this.![]()
I bought it new through trade ins & before you even get to the menu screen, you are prompted to enter your code for the crucible (which you are indeed correct in stating that this has trophies associated to it that go towards the plat) & item sharing. I am not even sure what happens if you do not have one (other than buying one of course) tbh.
Like i said, not really a time for them to be making a quick easy buck as far as i am concerned. They should be concentrating on keeping their fanbase happy, not alienating the part of it that was likely to buy pre-owned!
