Totally looking forward to these but BIG BUT i suffered YLOD a couple of months back and this was one of the only game saves i didn't back up so do i have to start all over again to play these and get to the end or can i just play these straight away.

Thats a lot of Silver and Gold trophies! None of them look hard at all either. Any news on a release date for the first DLC for PS3 yet?

for the Broken Steel DLC you will have to complete the story to be able to do that one, as it follows on, the other should be able to be done from anytime in the game, but it would be better if you had a character at about level 8 – 10 just so it makes it easier
me i might start again soon and then get so far and then wait for the DLC just so i have a character ready for them, lol

Broken Steel is supposed to come out in late September, and the other dlc shortly thereafter. My guess is that all the dlc will come out before the GOTY version so that it's not like "You can get the last dlc with the GOTY version but not the regular version yet". Yeah, so it'll most likely come out in quick succesion after the first pack.

Oh, I just read your post and my heart sank… I got a YLOD last week (replacement arrives wednesday) and I havent backed up in a looong time.. I thought the biggest loss I'd suffered was Bioshock (I was right near the end), and Rainbow Six Vegas (I cant back that up, for some reason). I'd completely forgotten about this because I'd platinumned it ages ago.

@severn2j unlucky dude, thats alot of wasteland to walkthrough again! Some games like R6V2 don't let you back up your game saves for some reason. Is pretty frustating, Killzone 2 doesn't let you protect them either.
Really looking forward to these though and getting back into the game!

It's gonna be nice when they finally come out. lol. Although, I think I'll just wait for the GOTY edition, lol. That way I can get them on a CD just incase something happens. Which is supposed… to come out in Octobre… hopefully get don't mess around with that release date.

I've finished Fallout multiple times but traded it in when I got platinum.
I'll probably get the GOTY edition for Christmas or something, so I'll have all of the packs to play through in one go.
More trophies and plenty more of the best single-player game on PS3.
