OfflineA word of warning to anyone trying for Platinum on this game, you can't as the online side of it is messed. I'm 1 trophy away from just needing the 3 or 4 online trophies for platinum and tried tonight but it is broken. It won't let you join custom online races and even normal career online races come back with network error messages at times. It is a fucking disgrace that this could pass QA and has really pissed me off as I have enjoyed playing it through although the challenges are now getting monotonous 124 of 190 done but to find out that Platinum is not available after a lot of hard work fucking stinks….bastards.
Codemasters have let themselves down by giving it the seal of approval without fully testing it.
End of rant dammit.

Ok three challenges left..damm they are hard but so were the last 40 so i think i will get them.
I have quite a few left to do…was pretty annoying that I didn't have time for PS3 for about a week, so I need to play catchup
I haven't found any of the challenges that hard so far, and I've done all the ones at Rainier Peak already. I've mostly been using the Valkyrie as it works for nearly every challenge.

Offline@ LS you sir are a genious at playing racing games, I have one challenge left that I am finding impossible to complete and you did it and found it easy, well done dude. I am on the verge of giving up as I have tried maybe 100 times now and just cant get close to completing it, I wonder if the programming team could do this challenge in the time that they give……hmmm.

I don't know whether this will help, but…
Firstly, I did it using the dustgrinder bike. Whilst the Valkyrie is technically better, the handling isn't as good for precise movements. Secondly, there's a few shortcuts that you have to take in order to hit the checkpoints without running out of time. Some of them are pretty crazy but have to be done. Below are the essentials.
1) After the first checkpoint, turn right onto the grass (don't follow the road), ride by the shack and in a straight line to the second checkpoint. This is the most important shortcut – if you don't take this one then you will run out of time later on.
2) After the 7th (?) checkpoint, you have to turn left and go through the trees, down the mountainside and join the track at the bottom. Don't follow the road or you will run out of time.
3) Once you're in the valley, just follow the track perfectly and you should finish in time.
As for other shortcuts, I can't really remember them exactly from checkpoint to checkpoint. The best way is to just cut corners and drive in straight lines to maximise your speed. It took me quite a few tries to do this, but once you make it into the valley then it should be a simple ride to the finish. Obviously if you fall off the road or something then you'll have to restart.

I have done all that and used the shortcuts but can only get to checkpoint 11 or 12 the time is just cruel lol.
I don't know what to suggest then really apart from keep trying
Or… just be better?
Yes you are right, I thought you were going to get this game shock?
EDIT: @LS just an update on the online side of the game, myself and hunterstryfe managed to get the online custom races working and I won 33 races that he created but no trophy. After reading on the X-Box forum's, apparently it is a glitch that affects them too, the Underground Brotherhood trophy is not available to all for some reason. There may be an update patch released soon but that could also include a fix for the any vehicle glitch, so it might be wise to get those challenges completed sooner rather than later.

OfflineJust got Platinum on this game and I must thank Hunterstryfe and LiquescentShadaow for their help with the online trophies, which were at times worthy of giving up with connection issues etc.. LS also got the Platinum which was a great bonus. All that is left is to get Hunterstryfe the one online trophy he has left for completing the troublesome online three. Many thanks guys. ![]()

Haha, you got the hard part right and the easy part wrong ;)
Thanks for the help with the online trophies
Really nice platinum to get, we've put a good few hours into the game and it was very rewarding.
@xzero: Trophies are fairly easy, but can be quite time consuming. Think of it as the racing version of the fallout 3 platinum. It's not a bad game either, not perfect by any means but very playable. One of the major gripes with the game is of course the online mode and lobby system, which is a royal pain in the ass.
