Let me guess: needs two playthroughs, one on easy or whatever, the other on hard. I say two playthroughs because of the evil n good endings unless you can go from goodie to baddie right before the ending and save. I only played 3 or 4 hours of the first one and will finish it before I get this but all the side stuff and even main missions got quite boring and repetitive. I hope they've taken that aspect out of this one but by the looks of what they put in the game it seems to be the same game, new moves. This is all random guessing because I've forgotten everything I've seen in trailers and feature videos :)

I borrowed the first off a friend (got the uncharted 2 beta code from him haha) and loved it and was very close to a plat but gave it back, so after welcome back package i will get the plat from it when i download infamous. However, i don't know why but i have no interest for the 2nd, i really enjoyed the first so you think i would be hyped for this but i am not at all. I probably will end up playing it at some point when it's down to a lower price. I see the blast shards are back too 
i liked the idea of good or bad too but as samiro has said it will probably take 2 or even 3 playthroughs for the plat (i played Infamous through 2 times before i gave it back)

JUST SPECULATION: My worry for those that buy it that have played the first one may find that they're playing the same game if it weren't for the plot changes [if there is any]. This is what I feel would make people, like Origami Killer, just not very bothered or in fact totally disinterested in the sequel. And all of this is from the little I've seen that would change the game to something more interesting. The first one took a great idea and made it boring – for me.

the first one was a 9/10 imo so from what I have seen of the second looks to be even better hope my copy comes on Thursday.
if enjoying a game only once is your thing that is up to you but I play most games 2 times some times if its really good 3 times the point of inFamous is there are 2 paths the good guy & the bad guy I love the fact it is like that.

Attention blast shard hunters!
InFamous 2's developers have been kind enough to include an extra blast shard indicator this time round to help you find the nasty leftovers.
When buying powers in the general power upgrades is one called "Blast Shard Sense" which works as a compass directing you to the nearest shard even if it's at the other side of the map. Although from just the first play through you are likely to have around already 250+ of the shards this makes the remainder very easy to sweep up.
Thought I'd better draw this to your attention as I had already gained 301/305 when I realized this was available. 
Looks to be a way easier plat without that drag now.

Hey guys, I just had a question and I was hoping someone would reply.
Just wondering, how long is the game? I had infamous 1 and loved it. However I don't know whether I should spend £40 on a game which I think I will finish within a couple of weeks. Is it longer than infamous 1? Are there more missions/side quests than the origional?? Any rough times on how long it takes to complete??
also how hard is hard? (thats what she said! haha)
I completed infamous 1 on hard first time and found it quite easy despite it being "hard." So has the difficulty increased or is it about the same??

sorry for the late reply only just finished the positive playthrough doing all the missions felt pretty long to me going to play it on the evil side now. plus you can create your own levels you should go for it mate it is £30 on shopto this week as well.

It was 18 quid 2nd hand on Blockbusters last week too. Got mine, and loving it.
Just a shame the blast shard indicator can't be implemented in the first game, I tried and failed to find all the blast shards on about 3 occasions and eventually just gave up.

After being stuck of 349 on two separate occasions, I just decided to print out a map of the three islands, and cross every single shard off methodically. Took about 6 hours, because I had to play right through to getting the last power.
As to inFamous 2, I'm considering buying it, but it's waaay down on my list.
