Its not a new patch (though there will probably be one to add compatibility for it). Its two track packs, each of 3 tracks which can be played in a large number of ways, and one of them adds a new mini festival of 16 events (i think).
Sony's policy is that you've got a maximum of 50 trophies in a full BD release with 1 Platinum as part of that, but then you can add 8 trophies per piece of DLC (at least I think thats how it works).

Very much! Hated the demo, but for some reason got the game anyway and really love it, great game! Except for maybe cheating AI in the late stages, but other than that, great game
