OfflineUtterly fantastic Game/Utility. I play guitar but this is like a totally new learning experience following the on screen animated tablatures etc.
Anyway heads up…anyone thinking of of buying this game for PS3 then the version that you want to get is this one from Amazon UK…..

This is the version that I bought and it includes the Guitar and Bass versions of the game (Your Guitar can be used for the Bass lines using the EADG strings if there isn't a Bass available) as well as the real Tone Guitar cable.
Some versions out there just comprise of the game solus without the lead or even the Bass program add on, and they all cost around the same price £49.99.

OfflineGot the stage ready trophy earlier, it's not too bad you just need to master a few songs and all riffs to near 100% and then play them in an event with no assists/tablature to follow…..just playing blind. I went with Song 2, Go with the Flow (easy song for the 750 note streak), 20th Century Boy and Angela.
Fingers are killing now though and need a transplant! ![]()

OfflineFantastic work freeze, if only this game was available 7 years ago I would be a pro. Alas my guitar skills are now limited to a system of a down track n some guitar version of a demo which plays on my keyboard :)
I'll keep this game in mind for Christmas though as it sounds like it could really teach me how to play although I imagine it has been easier for you if you already could play in the first place.

OfflineThanks Samiro, it is easier if you can already play guitar, although I've not bothered with mine for the last few years….it's like riding a bike, once learned and all that. That's why my fingers were hurting a lot, because the tips had gone all soft and I was trying to play like I used to!! Although the moving tablature reading took some getting used to.
There is a great intuitive learning system with the game though, where each song is broken down into phrases and you can go into a riff repeater option for each section of a song and select a Riff Leveler that will play that riff at around 50% notation, then once you follow and play that correctly it adds notes gradually until it plays the complete riff with all notes at 100% maxed. It's a great way to learn and to max a songs riffs and eventually the complete song. (this is how the whole games learning system works throughout, it only adds notation and advances the difficulty once the score has been reached or correct notes played at a lower level)
With all of the song riffs at 100% maxed you can then play the song through and if you score 100,000 points or more then that song becomes Mastered (purple score guage) and you can enter that song into a Master event (live gig
).
