I rented this last night, it's quite good so far. It's worth a rent, I'd say. Probably wouldn't buy it.

it's alright, i would say rental over purchase, can complete and platinum in about 4 days without too much trouble.

quite enjoyable actually

you have to buy the neck snap thing when you upgrade you dude and for the snooker cue just look in clubs

Not sure about the safes and taking over businesses but MAKE SURE YOU HAVE DONE ALL THE EXECUTATIONS before you complete the game otherwise you will have to restart as executions are only valid on other mobsters.

You should also try to make sure that you have got the trophy for killing 750 mobsters before you  try to complete the game as this trophy will also become unavailable unless you restart the game.

I got platinum on the third day of renting.

I really enjoyed the game as it's the sort of thing I like (walking around in a group looking tough, beating people who look at you wrong to a pulp and dangling people from rooftops)

I loved the hand-to-hand combat but the shooting and driving was quite shabby to be honest in my view. Also, I hated wondering around the warehouses, that was just depressing and I could never find the entrance.  I must admit I enjoyed the original more (which I had on Wii) as it had loads of brutal and varied executions more appealing buildings and was generally more fun.

I would recommend this for trophies as you can check your progress on cracked safes and collectible weapons and it actually tells you where the ones your missing are so you don't have to backtrack for no reason, this makes the trophies all very easy and not frustrating, unlike the shardhunting on inFamous was.
