Time to get in your mini reviews for WipEout HD. Remember, if you want them included in the WeView Verdict article they need to be in by Sunday, and if it's too long I can only use an extract if I select your review.
Also please remember to include your rating of Buy It, Bargain Bin, Rent It, Avoid It at the end of the post; if you put it in bold it's easier for me to find.

Wipeout HD is simply the best racing game that I have ever played on any console. It has all the elements it needs: speed, fluidity, myriad tracks, myriad ships with widely differing characteristics, superb graphics, and fantastic weapons. And to cap it off the online mode is nothing short of stunning. Oh, and then there's the music, which is excellent as well – and you can even set up your own soundtrack if you so choose.
Overall, it's the sort of game that you can pour many, many hours into, have an insane amount of fun whilst doing so, and still come back for more. And this from a game released only a year after the PAL release of the PS3 – Wipeout HD is over three years old now.
Buy It. Just do it. Honestly, it'll be the best game you've ever bought on PSN.

I'm not a racing fan at all but I've enjoyed WipEout games since the PS1.
I bought WipEout HD the same day that I got my new TV that was capable of displaying 1080p just to try it out.
However, it's not the graphics that stand out to me when I think of the WipEout franchise, it's the music that I love.
I still have that fond memory of me playing one of the PS1 versions when I heared The Prodigy's Firestarter for the very first time.
Over the years WipEout has been a musical influence on me. It was a way for me to find new music and the OST never disappointed me.
The gameplay itself is stellar. The ships handle like they should. It just feels right.
There just isn't anything in the racing genre that is on par with the feeling that you get when you race at 700 km/h around Sol 2 in your Piranha while Machine Gun by Noisia comes blasting out of your speakers.
Two words: Buy it!

WipEout HD is without a doubt, my favourite game this generation, possibly of all time. I've put in over 100 hours, which in my opinion, is an awful lot. The visuals are second to none, and when I made the upgrade to HD, well… it was this game that made me understand just what my TV was capable of. I love the handling of the ships, the sounds, the soundtrack, locations, basically everything about this game. It is the best game I have bought from the PSN, and on several occasions I've been tempted to buy the retail version, just to have it proudly on my shelf for all to see (I still need to get around to that). The detail on the game is insane, I remember being blown away when I went into photo mode, and zoomed way in on a mine, there is a warning sticker on it about it's explosives, a tiny little warning sticker with perfectly legible writing on it, I was amazed.
There's just something about this game that lit a fire beneath me, and compelled me into getting all of the trophies, I was at one point within the top 5 on a leader board under certain criteria. I have never before, or since been so drawn into a game.
Undoubtedly my verdict is, Buy It!

Breathtakingly fast, insanely gorgeous, and devilishly hard.
It starts off quite easy, but soon enough your reflexes truly get put to the test as the speed ramps up, and up…. And up.
The only thing that's kept this from being in the top 5 spots for the PS3 on metacritic is the re-use of the tracks from the PSP games. A shame, as otherwise it completely deserves to be right up there.
BUY IT FOOL!

This game is a rip-off of Sodium on PS Home
But seriously, this was the first game I ever downloaded from PSN. To say I was spoilt is an understatement, graphically it's on a par with pretty much any other game on the PS3, and better than the vast majority. Having not played Wipeout since the PS1 I was coming to this rendition as a virtual novice, but I have to say I believe the learning curve is fair.
Verdict: Buy it.

This, and not Uncharted sets the Playstation standard for graphics and fun.
On top of that, the pure, blistering speed sets this racer far apart from the pack.
Unbeatable, and (until Resi 4 HD came out) my favourite game.
As for the Fury DLC, it's the best piece of DLC I've ever got, it added a whole new game, what more can you ask for?
BUY IT.

For a game that seems to be made for the fans it does little to surprise them other than delivering something they've already seen, albeit with a stunning lick of High Definition paint. That said, it’s still a solid foundation for WipEout's blistering style of racing on the PSN and provides a teaser of what will hopefully culminate in the next true continuation of the series. However if you are new to the franchise then what are you doing reading this? Go get it now!
BUY IT!

Best free game I ever bought.
The graphics are astounding for an early PSN game and like GT5 you can put days of your life into it , but unlike GT5, it's consistently fun. And you get to race in the sky. And upside down. With weapons.
However, the main draw is the challenge. I haven't played a harder racing game – the AI is nigh on perfect and you have to be very good if you want to stand a chance of not finishing last.
And the soundtrack is achingly good.
Buy it!

It's sublime.
Futuristic weapon based racing at it's finest.
Funky techno soundtrack, eye-blistering visuals…might go put it on now actually
BUY IT.

Wipeout HD is, for me, one of the best experiences I have had on the current generation of gaming. There is nothing quite like being able to maintain stupidly high speeds in Zone mode. This is the game I worked the hardest to get a platinum trophy AND it was FUN – from start to finish! Even the hard ones. Surely that is the point of a game, to be fun, and it gave me oodles!
I love that Wipeout requires real skill to be able to master it, and you really do become better and better with practise. If you do get the game, don't expect to be a pro within a week or two, expect to still be learning how to take certain corners and beat the hardest enemies, expect to learn how to handle the ships.
Brilliant game, brilliant graphics. No story, no pretentious gimmicks. Just pure, solid and fun gameplay.
P.S. The Fury expansion makes this game go from great to awesome!
BUY IT! Then buy another copy for each member of your family, and your dog, and your best mate, and your other mates, hell, even your enemies.

It's a testament to wipEout HD's smooth visuals, pumping soundtrack, stunning graphics and easy to pick up but difficult to master gameplay that if anyone asks "what game should I buy on PSN", my first answer is always this game. It's the little things that make it. The way the track pulsates with the music, the achingly cool menus/loading screens and the amazing noises all the weapons make. They may be small things, but the attention to detail really makes this game. You get the impression it has been finely crafted by people who know the series and know the racing genre down to a tee. The Frury add-on is merely frosting on the pop-tart……..as a complete package, games are few and far between that are this slick as wipEout HD. (Apart from the silly capital 'E'…..)

WipEout HD is the best looking game on the PS3 by far. It's futuristic and bright theme, and the brilliant gameplay are just two of the amazing features of WipEout HD. It keeps you on the edge of your seat at all times. Then there was the DLC 'Fury': Possibly one of the best DLCs of all time. It was like buying a whole new game altogether. I'm gonna keep it short and simple, it's a definate BUY IT from me.

As beautiful as it is frustrating, a brutal difficulty curve and over-sensitive controls ruin any ideas of fun or enjoyment that WipEout may give. Plus the capital "E" looks stupid. AVOID IT.

I usually like a challenge, but WipEout takes this too far and is just too hard. Even on the easiest difficulty. I don't get why people say it's the best looking game on the PS3 as t really isn't compared to other games such as Uncharted. It's too hard and the turning is crap. That sums it up for me. AVOID IT.

Lights off, surround sound on, zone mode, trance like state entered. Not many games can do that for me, but sadly I'm crap at it, and as much as I enjoyed playing through the campaign on low difficulty, it's too hard online and too hard on higher difficulties. It's a definite try it, as some people just don't get on with it, but if you want a game that literally puts you in a trance, don't bother paying hypnotherapy fees, just buy wipeout.

I came into WipEout HD having never played a WipEout game, so I was a complete newbie. I had very little idea of what to expect.
Jumping into a race for the first time, one thought only dominated my thoughts: the graphics were absolutely stunning. All that talk about 1080p/60FPS? It really did make WipEout HD stand out. The smoothness is incredible, and it is the most graphically impressive game I have ever seen.
I have poured hours into WipEout, 30 hours on the Campaign alone. The gameplay is superb; extremely tough, but so rewarding. When you're air-braking into a corner, ready to slam the X button down, but being careful of that wall on the outside, you know that this is a special game.
An excellent all-round set of single player challenges, and an extensive online mode round off a truly brilliant game. And, of course, the Fury DLC adds so much to the game.
The only true criticism that can be levelled at WipEout is the tough gameplay. In other words, is it too hard? Perhaps. But for those who are prepared to put in the necessary time, WipEout rewards in a way few games can.
All that from a game that was free!
Without hesitation, buy it.
