Been quite busy the last few Fridays so I haven't had much of a chance to sign up for the meets. I think I will join tonight though, haven't played in a while and could do with a bit of fun.

Well Yog you were irritatingly good last night, god knows how many times you killed me but it was ridiculous. I also really enjoyed it, but less than I would've had you not killed me so much!

I only got you 8 or 9 times Tony, that's not a lot! I seemed to be on the opposite team to most of the TSA lot most of the time so I was bound to run into you all. I feel sorry for poor Yogh Wayne, he was a the receiving end of my gun/tank shell/helicopter rockets a lot of the time, got him at least a dozen times when he was on the opposite team and I was starting to feel really guilty… really enjoyed squadding up with him, conflob (mate of mine) and an-dz (think that's his name) afterwards though, was great fun

What was also great fun was spawning behind you and adding your dogtags to my collection .

Is it just me though, or is there less emphasis on acquiring dogtags than BC2 (even though there are more options etc for personalising them)? I dunno, but it just seems like less of a deal is made about it now, but not sure why tbh.

I don't know why but I agree with you Forrest, I have the platinum star on the knife on BC2, but on this I always preferred to have a guaranteed kill with a weapon I'm ranking up with than risk being spotted knifing. Only have maybe 30 knife kills, compared to near 1300 on BC2.
On those 1300, I'm most proud of getting Teflon's dogtags though (oh, and the no1 ranked PS3 player at one time).

I very rarely use the knife as its inconsistent. Sometimes you slit their throat and kill them, sometimes you do the little lame slash thing that takes about 10 health. Even seems to happen when you've crept up behind someone. A couple of times I've slashed them like that only for them to turn around and kill me, so I just shoot them in the head for a headshot instead

Ha! Just looked through my dog tags and I have yours from 3 months back
And back then I was absolutely rubbish, so,
Mostly good games Friday even though the server was majorly laggy. Which caused some drop in/outs for me. I also managed to play long enough to hit level 45, and earn me that gold trophy. I also got the platinum last night after mopping up the final single player trophys, and I'm well pleased, never thought I'd be getting it

Doesn't surprise me to be honest – I am still pretty poor now, so back then I was probably bloody awful! Plus I have always had a bit of an issue with what’s going on behind me in FPS*, which is why before this gen I never touched ‘em. It’s all devs seem to wanna release these days though, so it’s pretty much play FPS or play only a few games a year!
I am of course exaggerating & I do now enjoy FPS much more than I did – Unfortunately, that doesn’t make me any better at them though.
I too hit Colonel on the weekend as well, but alas no plat for me – Still have to do all of the singleplayer stuff & the co-op, so that one will never happen. I already had an experience of co-op on hard & let’s just say it didn’t go too well for me (which is being generous – Truth be told, i am a fucking liability!).
*(lets see the increase of people trying to take my tags now! )

Forrest, I can do co-op with you on hard if you want? I'm fairly decent, Scuba Steve's a better choice though if you can nab him sometime

Oh, i know you are more than decent mate – I have the bulletholes from Friday as proof!
Appreciate the offer mate, but it may be more frustrating than you realise… Just ask Yogh!
I will see what happens though – If i happen to have a moment to run through the singleplayer & manage to get through that on hard, maybe i might go for the plat. Simply put, if i can't manage that, it's probably isn't worth me wasting anyones time with trying to go for the co-op trophies, as it just ain't gonna happen!

What are you talking about, that wasn't frustrating at all, mate. The problem was that we started on hard and didn't have a clue where the next wave comes from and where to put mines etc. and you really can't take many hits on that difficulty. Still it was great fun Somehow we just never got back to co-op and played multiplayer instead. I'd be happy to play more co-op with you if you want to get those trophies
Looking forward to the meet tonight! I just hope that I'm on the same team as yogdog this time The first games last week were incredible, there was a yogdog wherever I went on the map
But I finally got the revive medal during the last meet, and I'd like to thank you all for your contribution by repeatedly getting shot right in front of me Thanks guys
About the knife kills: I still try to get one when there's a possibility. It's nice to see new dog tags in the collection, which I haven't unlocked yet myself (and most of which I probably never will unlock). BTW has anybody ever seen a player with the DICE dev or tournament winner dogtags?
@Maneorix: Congrats for the platinum!! Well done, mate

Some good games since we won most of them .
Was also great to try out my new headset (Sony 7.1), it was excellent. So looking forward to tearing it up with you lot again at some point.
Sorry I bailed out on that last one, but I really hate overuse of vehicles – can really piss me off . That and I was getting a little tired, which in turn can make me quite stroppy!

Maneorix I took your tags ;-) that's big news for me lol.
Yogdog was my nemesis again, bit at least I pissed him off by killing him with my noob tube in the ticket hall :-)

The last four or five games i played at the end the enemy were lucky if they got to leave their spawn zone for more than ten seconds at a time, it feels good not to be on the reciving end of that torture for once.

@Yogh: Yeah, i agree actually – Starting on hard, knowing absolutely nothing about the maps could have been seen as suicide really & i guess practice makes perfect in that respect… I just felt a bit useless come the end as there were some shooters i really could not see until it was too late. It sometimes felt like i was spending more time waiting to be revived than actually shooting people!
But we'll see how it goes – If i ever manage to get through the campaign on hard (i hear actually making a start on it helps with this!), perhaps i'll give you a shout. Appreciate the offer of help from both you & yogdog though.
@Maneorix: Yeah, were some really good games on Friday & winning does help that slightly!
I was a little up & down at the beginning, but i found my groove a few matches in. Doesn't really help that i am trying to get some decent scopes & attachments for some of my less used guns though. Turns out that some of them are less used for a reason!
Bailing was understandable though – That particular game i recall being pretty hectic & as you mention, at one point you could hardly move for vehicles. I think i still have tank track tread imprints on my forehead.
@tony – Grats on the tags… Pretty sure that would be pretty big news for most people really, as it isn't like manny is a camper that sits on a rock begging you to take his tags each match!
Also, props on noobtube skillz! That ticket hall can get to be a bit of a clusterf*ck at times!
@An-dz – I agree that it was nice not to be the ones clambering out of the spawn & ducking bullets left right & centre, but i have to say that i am also not a fan of pinning people down at their own spawn. It almost feels like bullying!
Yes, i know it basically comes down to whether someone is sneaky enough to get out in one piece & start capturing again, but what i think it might be slightly fairer is that if the spawn area grows with the less land owned by that team. As in when you have lost most/all objectives, your spawn area grows a little in size so you have a little more room to manoeuvre without being pinned down by a tank/heli combo. This in turn would cause the winning side to be a bit more defensive over their objectives if the spawn area grew to just outside objective C on Noshahr Canals for example.
I haven't thought the logistics through of course, that just seems a little fairer to me (especially on maps like Metro & Tehran Highway) & a good way to keep a more competitive game going & not losing so many players to ragequits due to not being able to do anything.

I've been in quite a few games before where we've been pinned down at spawn with all objectives lost but still gone on to win, its where strong teamwork helps. If you manage to get out, you need to survive to give your squad a spawn point. If they're sensible they'll spawn on you and you can get about taking objectives again.
