This was one game I had to ask about before buying, and should it be released outside of the US many others may ask the same question. Please answer the poll and give your opinion on the game. What is TSA's Verdict?

Poll:

A: I have the God of War Collection, and I would recommend the game to others.

B: I have the God of War Collection, but have some issues with it that would make me think before recommending it.

C: I would recommend people steer clear of this game.

D: I will buy the God of War Collection when I can.

E: The God of War Collection doesn't interest me.

My answer: A

I have played and completed both games and thoroughly enjoyed them. I bought the collection after recommendation from TSA members and as a newbie to God of War, I can promise this is one not be missed out on.

Pros:

-       The graphics in the cut-scenes are high-quality PS3 standard.

-       Story is brilliant.

-       The action, particularly the quick time events, is spectacular. Fighting is a joy and most challenges are great fun.

Cons:

-       Some challenges can be a bit taxing – leading to frustration.

-       Style of game can become repetitive towards the end of the game (not majorly).

I bought this game, not quite knowing what to expect, but now I'm really excited for God of War III to be released. Buy it!

I will collect up poll results and take an average of the pros and cons and will present them in one post, by next weekend.

A worthwhile remastering of the PS2 classics. The graphics have been pulled up to an easily acceptable level with trophys that add to the fun.

Pros:

-  Another opportunity to play through the GOW games

-  Some of the best puzzles in a game, the sort that make you feel proud you worked out.

-  Excellent combat.

Cons:

-  Repetition, especially when playing one after the other, as you would.

-  Graphics can, understandably, slip in places. Gow 2 ingame cut scenes for example look particulary bad.

-  Some who have played before may feel they havn't got their moneys worth.

I found the God of War collection to be worth the price of import and hope that we will be able to see more quality PS2 games remastered.

It has been HD'd up, the only thing that hasn't is the cutscenes

You shouldn't be put off the graphics at all, they look great. It runs flawlessly with 60fps and to be honest I didn't really notice the graphical all the much after the first 5 minutes. Only the in-game cut scenes look bad. If it's only the graphics holding you off, then go buy the collection RIGHT NOW. I have already played the first two on PS2 – but I wanted them again, and I did NOT regret it!

Pros

Combat is satisfying

Difficulty curve is almost perfect

A good way to get in the mood for GOWIII

Cons

Second one is too similar to the first and the combos are slightly different which is annoying for a little while

Time taken from xmb to playing game is too long

Those that don't have the game, want it.

Pros:

 - Satisfying combat

 - Great puzzles to work through

 - Good story

 - Good difficulty curve

 - Great touch-up of the originals with HD graphics

Cons:

 - Can become repetitive

 - GOW 1 is very similar to GOW 2

 - PS2 graphics visible in places

 - Takes ages to get from XMB to playing; due to the need to select the game and load save games

TSA's Verdict:

A fantastic touch-up of what have always been good games which is a great entry into the series for those who have never played them before.

TSA members suggest that everyone buy this game.
