I have just arrived at TSA from a bookmark on my laptop, I have noticed for some time that I get logged out after a few visits but that is another moan for another day. To the point of this topic…….
I was not logged in so my session at TSA this visit was entirely anonymous, while I am unsure whether advertising is targeted at specific age ranges when logged in based on details entered, I mm sure that the advertisement seen in the screen grab below is not appropriate for a game related website such as TSA and certainly not suitable for younger members/visitors.
While I dont care, I am sure the parents of 14 year old gamers wont be too comfortable about it. And just to let you know, these adverts display whether your logged in or not, after just a few refreshes of the homepage as Ziinga and PKR are most often shown.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think most of the adverts have something 2 do with what sites you've being visiting. As I say, not certain, but i'm betting someone with a better knowledge of these things will correct me if i'm wrong.
It's all porn related on mine anyway

My ads have been related to my location, usually have ads about visiting Cardiff.

The site automatically logs you out every now and then as a security measure. Sometimes we also force a log out to kickstart new features or bits on the homepage that need a proper refresh. Hopefully it's not too much hassle to log back in.
As for the adverts, those are not acceptable here. If you know where they link to, I can block them but that requires someone clicking on them to find where they go and giving me the URL. I can't make them appear for me. I'll go into our adsense settings and see what I can do.

It is definately related to sites you have visited recently (*related to* by means of website partner associations). It's basically just advertising spam from websites that have some sort of association with a related website that you've recently visited.
It bears all of the similarities of email spam, but at least you have the unsubscribe option with those if you can find it by usually zooming 200%
On my TSA front page spammy box it usually shows recently viewed items from Amazon and similar, but also stuff like local garage services 
Todays spam box has Uncle Bens rice advertising on mine….WTF?

Lol, I've got a P&O cruise advert today, although I haven't booked a booze cruise for about 6 years and that was only a Poole to Cherbourg splash and dash!

How come you get the decent porn ads and i get one for mature dating? 
I've noticed that TSA tends to have adverts that are not safe for work. I don't suppose you could implent an age rating system for adverts in TSA's adsense Peter? As that could prevent porn form being advertised. The adverts seem to be random for me but i am glad that i've yet to get one of the fat guy singing adverts.
Unless you have annoyed Peter, the site logs you out every few weeks. If you have, he makes sure the sites winds up you. I'M ONTO YOU PETER!
I actually got logged out the second i went to post a comment and it caused it not to be posted. :O Think that was last month.

the ads are tailored to your previous browsing history and what's relevant to you. for example I've currently got adverts from j.crew (mens fashion retailer) since i was shopping for new cloths yesterday.
