MCV is reporting details from Chart Track that say PS3 and 360 sales are neck-and-neck for the calendar year so far.
The 360 had a 12-week start on the PS3 – launched in March – but the PS3 sold big numbers early doors. However, since the recent 360 price drop and the release of the Elite, the 360 has been selling more units each week.
The 360 is nearly two-years old, while the PS3 isn’t even a year old yet; so, it’s still too early to say who’s going to win the hardware war. A PS3 price-cut can’t come soon enough though to help in the battle, especially as the future PS3 lineup is looking so healthy.
