After the whole Warner deal, Blu-ray is on a complete roll just now, and announced late last night at CES is some really cool Blu-ray 2.0 functionality for PSP owners. Essentially, certain movies will also come with a PSP formatted version on the disk, which will beam magically to your PlayStation Portable from your PS3. “This way, you can have a portable copy you can take with you,” explains David Bishop, president of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
There’s other stuff, too. Blu-ray will soon also offer downloadable ringtones and content, plus the ability to play multiplayer games which were showcased on early versions of Aliens vs Predator and Men In Black Blu-ray 1.1 disks.
