Just had an email from ‘up above’. Apparently, if you don’t have a PS3 yet, or aren’t planning to get one soon, even Baby Jesus is laughing his arse off at you. This might have been the best 24 hours of news for PS3 owners since TSA was delivered by a drunken stork, but it looks set to end on a bang. Firstly, let’s say that LittleBigPlanet is now pretty much complete, and is now in internal testing mode (a little birdie tells us it has been for a while…) and will hopefully hit a closed beta pretty soon for some heavy Summer testing.
Excitingly, Media Molecule have been working hard on LittleBigStory – a structured single/multiplayer narrative mode with over 50 levels of pre-built fun and adventure. Progress through LittleBigStory unlocks the tools and abilities you’ll use to create your own levels, via the in-game currency of Fluff. So whilst on day one you’ll be able to create the most basic of areas with the simplest of textures and materials, once you’ve mastered all 50 levels of the Story mode, you’ll be able to come up with some crazy designs using the most esoteric tools.
