The Metro is a free newspaper found on buses and trains, usually in London, but occasionally in other areas of England. This free newspaper reviewed Metal Gear Solid 4, Konami’s PS3 exclusive super-game, with a 3/5 (equivalent to a 6/10, obviously).
The paper said that the plot to MGS 4 was “utterly overblown” and that it “somehow manages to be both rubbish and exceptional at the same time”. Not content with attacking the superb storyline, they also attacked the equally superb gameplay; “Solid Snake is back, older, wiser but unfortunately, if gameplay is anything to go by, more arthritic and boring”.
We at TSA aren’t entirely sure what the reviewer was smoking, but we’d like some. So MGS4’s worst review came from a free newspaper that is found exclusively on public transport. We think that says it all.
