Pre-E3 Video Goodness

E3 is a wonderful time of year, a gamer’s Christmas if you will, and we all know the run up to Christmas involves hunting your house for those special gifts. That is exactly what a few crafty gamers have been doing and they actually found something other than that lovely knitted jumper you get every year.

Over at Ubisoft, a video has been discovered showing some rather enticing footage for Assassin’s Creed 2. Check it out.

Some sites are reporting that there is two videos almost identical but with Ezio, the main character, wearing slightly different clothing but it still looks amazing, even if it is only a quicktime scene. I quite like his superhero-esque drop at the end.

Now onto Square Enix’s new game, Nier. This is the first time I have heard of this game so bare with me. A recent press release announcing the game kindly pushed us towards the official website and all the media it contains. Here’s a video taster for you.

The site reveals that it is “set in a crumbling world plagued by disease and dark, unrecognizable creatures” and the video shows God of War like fight scenes. The art style looks very good and this is definitely one to watch.

There was also a video discovered for Splinter Cell: Conviction but, as it stands, it is an Xbox exclusive but if you really must see it go here.

What do you think of the recent leaks? I can’t wait for Assassin’s Creed 2 and I hope E3 brings a lot more video goodness. Where are we on the countdown again?
