New Screens: Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier

High Impact Games, the studio behind previous PSP platformer Ratchet And Clank: Size Matters are just about done with the new Jak & Daxter game, entitled “The Lost Frontier”, and whilst our hands on with the game will just have to wait a little while, this new batch of screens (including shots of the flight mode) just in at TSA Towers should whet your appetite enough in the short term.

The Lost Frontier picks up their story where the original Jak & Daxter trilogy ended. Eco’s back (in four flavours now) alongside vehicular combat and plenty of weaponry, including a customisable gunstaff. Also featuring on this PSP (and later, PS2) title are sky battles which reportedly take up around half the game with lots of rewards and raw materials to boost your aircraft.

When their world begins to run out of Eco, Jak and returning character Keira travel to the edge of the world in search of some Precursor machinery that could reverse the planet’s decline. The game will support an open ended mission structure allowing players to choose between critical and optional side missions to gather additional modifications and eco.

The game’s out November 3rd.
