Welcome back to the world of trophies! A great week it’s been (finally!), with 9 trophy lists posted. Credit is due to the massive US PSN Store update, which contributed to 3 (or 5, if you count the DLC) of the lists. Enjoy!
- Grand Theft Auto DLC (TLaTD & TBoGT)
- Groovin’ Blocks
- How To Train Your Dragon
- ZEN Pinball Knights of the Round Table + Earth Defense DLC
- High Stakes on the Vegas Strip: Poker Edition
- Hamster Ball
- Anarchy: Rush Hour
- Section 8
The upcoming GTAIV DLC looks to be a real cracker. Released on the the Xbox for quite some time now, it looks to contend with the Secret Armoury of General Knoxx for best add-on ever. With so much to do in The Lost and The Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, hopefully the trophies reflect that. They do. Unfortunately, they are all bronze. They are pretty hilarious though. “In the bike races, whack off 69 bikers with a bat.” Sure will Johnny. ‘Gold Star’ looks quite hard, especially for a bronze. All you inhuman people out there who managed to platinum this game, you aren’t done yet I’m afraid.
Hamster Ball. Instantly, you know what this game is all about. I was sold on Hamster but Ball just sealed the deal. Those of you who can’t get enough of Super Monkey Ball and have been looking for an alternative on your PS3, your prayers have been answered. In typical Creat fashion, the trophies look time-consuming, yet obtainable. Do you think you can become a Prudent Chipmunk?
Anarchy: Rush Hour. Raise your hand if you have no idea about this game. Neither did I, until I proceeded to dig up some information on the ‘web, and came up with this. Just released on the US Store for eight dollars, this game redefines value for money. The game even has a platinum trophy, and therefore receives the title of the cheapest game with a platinum (at RRP). I’m still flabbergasted at that price. It looks like a nice, fun game as well. For something that could have easily gone for $30-$60, this is the game you should definitely buy if it ever comes to our store. Also, you can boost to 999 km/h?! Oh my.
Ready to airdrop? Section 8 was previously released on the 360, with no PS3 version in sight. Later, the developers announced they were bringing this game to the PlayStation, though PSN only. Thanks to Joystiq (I love you!), I managed to snag a copy of the game. It was a demo & unlock key, so expect a demo to be released soon, in case you’re intrigued by the concept of airdrops (which you should be). The trophies look rather boring, with most of them focused on the single-player campaign. The game’s focus is certainly multiplayer, so it’s a shame that we are required to play so much of the campaign for the platinum. No matter, I can’t wait to hit someone on the head after airdropping.
My favourite trophy of the week is:
God of War III/ Gold
Beat the game
As you have probably realised, I love God of War. I just finished the game. You must buy this. Must.
You all better be playing this game when I come back, or else you* will pay.
