Trophy World: 01/05/10

Welcome back to Trophy World! Things have really been up and down lately: one week we get a plethora of lists, and the next we get just a small dose. Unfortunately, this week is a small dose, with only three trophy lists posted in all.

Record of Agarest War is a recently-released RPG on the US PlayStation Store. It’s probably the biggest game on there, taking up a whopping 10+ GB on your hard drive if you wish to download it. It’s also probably the most expensive, at $45. I believe this game is actually out in the UK as a disc, but be warned that said version of the game doesn’t have trophies (how weird?). In typical RPG fashion, the trophies look suitable only for the hardcore. I doubt I’m “Titular” enough.

Iron Man 2… I think most of us already know how this is going to turn out. Movie tie-in games have a reputation of being absolutely terrible and I don’t think anyone is expecting Iron Man 2 to be an exception. The trophies don’t look all that hard, but it seems like grinding will be necessary. If you can bear the pain* of playing this game, that is…

Kick-Ass. Yay, another movie tie-in! This is a downloadable game though, and doesn’t look all that bad. Then again, that’s what I thought of the Watchmen games before actually playing them… looks like this game will also be another grind for 100%, with trophies like “Slaughter Master” not making things any easier. *sigh*

My favourite trophy of the week is:

The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition/ Silver

Sharp Tongue
Learn all of the insults from the pirates.

Aargh, I be ready to learn from ye, oh pirate master!

*To be fair, I really shoudn’t make assumptions about this game until reviews start popping up. Who knows, maybe this game can pull off a X-men Origins: Wolverwine?

Nah…who am I kidding?
