Trophy World 15/05/10

Welcome back to Trophy World! Seems like May has finally had an impact, with a great bundle of trophy lists for you this week. Enjoy!

UFC Undisputed 2010 is the follow-up to last year’s successful venture by THQ. Like all sequels, it looks to improve on last year’s flaws with many additions based on feedback from the community. I never played 2009, so I’m not really aware of said improvements. I have played the demo of 2010, and must say that it was great fun. With no tutorials though, I was a bit lost. Plus, all the punches and kicks lacked any decent sound effect, which really pulled it down for me. Still, I like the idea of online fight camps, and surely expect one from TSA when the game releases. Looking over the trophies, it looks like one will surely need to be skilled at this game, especially if you want to pull off 100 ranked wins online. Get your pugilist face ready…

Split/Second… if you’ve seen anything about this game, you’ll know it is destined for greatness. Racing with a lovely twist: you can use the environment against your enemies. I’ve played the demo, and definitely love the concept. Sadly, I found the car handing to be extremely rigid, which has me doubting whether I should buy this game or not. Anyways, the trophies are your usual standard for a racing game: beat the story with 1st place in every race for a gold. I just hope that more than one person in the world can have an online form of 1 at the same time…

Castle Crashers is the beautiful side-scrolling beat-’em-up from the folks at The Behemoth, which came to the 360 last year. Before I say any more, glance your eyes over to this. Now I dare you to tell me you don’t want this game. This is certainly going to be one of those special PSN titles that you will keep coming back for, especially if you have buddies to play with. The trophies look rather interesting, and certainly won’t be a walk in the park. Are you insane enough?

My favourite trophy of the week is:

Castle Crashers/ Silver

Kay Eye Ess Ess
Collect all 4 Princesses’ kisses in a multiplayer game.

Hmm… I wonder what I’ll need to do for this to happen. Hopefully nothing too extreme.

P.S: I won’t be around for a little while, so expect a mammoth Trophy World when I return!
