Does anybody mind if I still call Natal, Natal? Yes, I know it’s the name of the project and not the final product that is rumoured to be called Wave, which I kinda like. It’s just that I don’t really like change and I’m getting kind of fed up with all these four letter words that game companies are ramming down our throats all the time.
Anyway, as you all know, E3 is taking place soon – 15th-17th of June to be precise – and as the biggest trade show in the gaming calendar it’s the event that gets all the biggest reveals, and we’re not just talking blockbuster games but also new products. Top of this year’s pile of new products is Sony’s Move waggle-sticks and Microsoft’s Natal.
Whilst the rest of the world’s attention is firmly fixed on E3, it is D8 (I’m not sure why there’s a fixation with making your conference sound like a grid reference) where Microsoft has most recently been showing off Natal. Handily, the folks over at Engadet were on hand to snap some pics of the never-before-seen white version, and although they say it’s labeled as a developer unit, their Spidey senses are telling them this is the final retail product.
Anyway, enough waffle. Check out the pics below and let us know what you think in the comments section. Personally, there is no way the base of that thing will sit on top of my TV; so if they were hoping to entice me to buy one, they’re going to sadly have to include a new TV.
