Introducing AppTilt

TheSixthAxis is proud to introduce AppTilt, a brand new microsite that will sit under the TSA umbrella.  We’ve trialled coverage of iPhone and iPad reviews in the past with our hardware reviews and our popular weekly Slide to Unlock game reviews, but AppTilt represents an alternative angle on what we normally do here at TSA Towers.

Rather than attempting to cover all the important stories of the day and striving to review every game we can get our hands on like the team does at TheSixthAxis, AppTilt is something of a diversion, a far more relaxed approach to gaming where we’ll review games with a somewhat lighter attitude and one less regulated by embargoes and deadlines.

So, if you’re into your iPhone and iPad games, all we can ask is that you have a look and if you like what you seen, bookmark the site (and maybe drop the AppTilt Twitter feed a follow, too).

  1. I love the domain name. If only Apple wasn’t the devil. Cutting off firmware support for my older iPod Touch… I jest, of course, but it stung.

  2. Nice, you should pick up Android one day though, it’s defiantly (thank the lords for that) here to stay :)

  3. looks great i must admit dont buy many apps for my ipod touch only one i have bought is jelly car 2 which is a great app for 59p
really hope you update the site with some of the other great apps later along the line
i see theirs a log in on the site would i be able to use my tsa account on it or would i have to make a new account?

    • forget my question i realised i need a new account for the site

  4. A great idea. The site looks nice too. It’s great that you guys are branching out, trying to reach a larger audience and trying something new.
I don’t have an iphone so probably won’t get much use out of it personally, but I’ll keep my eye on the site and wish you guys the best of luck with it :)
More TSA is good in my book :)

  5. Awesome site guys. Will definitely bookmark this page on my iPhone

  6. Brilliant stuff. All my gaming covered by the same great team. Website Bookmarked

  7. istuff can do full PSone three dimensional games? okay I’m shocked….

  8. looks great, im always using my ipod for casual gaming. In the 2 months ive had it I must of brought 100 games (yes I have an app addiction).
The new site will prove really useful, I currently use other sites for my app reviews but they miss that little something that the TSA staff manage to bring to game reviews. :)
If you ever need some suggests for games to reivew I have a few games in my collection which I think are worthy of being in many other peoples i-libarys.

  9. This is great news. If you need suggestions or reviewers for iPad stuff give me a holler. Some of the games I’ve downloaded so far range from naff to top-notch so a site which helps me sort the wheat from the chaff is a great idea.

  10. Great idea guys, if you need any help covering the 200,000 apps on the store I’d be happy to lend my input. I’ve got about half of them already, ha ha.

    • Oh ! and where’s the RPG tab !?

    • Ditto actually, if you wanted any extra hands!
