Ever since the launch of Medal of Honor, which supposedly included a Battlefield 3 beta key, we’ve been given zero details on when we can expect a formal unveiling of Battlefield 3. It seems we finally know when that’s going to happen, and it’s not too far away.
According to IGN, Battlefield 3 will be rolled out on March 1 of this year at the Game Developer’s Conference in the U.S. Hopefully they’ll be able to confirm whether or not this is still a 2011 game, and whether or not we still have a reason to keep Medal of Honor.
Other titles published by EA that are said to be appearing at GDC are: Shadows of the Damned, Alice: Madness Returns, Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning, and Crysis 2.

Its the only reason I’m keeping Medal Of Honor on the shelf, the multiplayer was shocking!

Really? I thought MOH MP was excellent, really enjoyed it.
Grey_Ghost13
Me too, once you knew to keep your head down from the 1,000’s of sniper bullets, or be one yourself!
Looking forward to the next Battlefield. Come on EA give us some details.
SpikeyMikey23
Im currently playing it. prefer it to blackops, but not as good as BFBC2
Amphlett
I agree with Turrican. The maps felt too tight for the type of gameplay and weapons balance.
DrNate86
Aaah I want a new Alice game so badly! The original was awesome!
KillaScorp
Looking forward to this, and Crysis 2. Played a bit of the first Crysis on the pc and really liked it.
SpikeyMikey23
im on the fence regarding crysis 2. Im going to wait for a few reviews or maybe a demo. With brink and killzone 3 soon to occupy my shelf, I dont know if i have room/time for crysis 2
Grey_Ghost13
I know what you mean, all I’ve seen are shiny screenshots nothing much else.
And I haven’t been grabbed by a FPS game so much, like I have with Brink. Can’t wait to get my hands on this!

day one for me
minerwilly
Ooooh sexy , still on the fence about whether to buy a gaming PC just for this game like I did back in 2002 .
DJ Judas
Now will they demo it on PC or console, hope they’re smart enough to go for PC and save an internet uproar.
Armonster9000
Why do PC gamers get so pissed off if a game is not showcased on their system?
DJ Judas
They don’t, its only when something that is a quintessential PC game such as Battlefield makes sacrifices to suit the console market.
Bad Company was acceptable because it was a spin off, but BF3 is the true sequel to a previously PC only series and fans are wanting it to better previous installments. The announcement that it will be on consoles too was no surprise but it certainly was a talking point leaving many people expecting to be disappointed.
We shall wait and see.

i must be one of the minority that really enjoyed MOH and im a huge fan of BFBC 1 and 2
Bilbo_bobbins
bought and sold, terrible game MOH. BFBC 3 thought is hopefully going to be great. Love BFBC 2.
TURRICAN-808
I agree,BFBC2 vietnam expansion + onslaught mode + squad based combat + vehicles = awesome
Now here goes the bad attempt to advertise my unpopular ideas from the USA PS blog share thing:

DJ Judas
This isn’t BFBC3 ;)
TURRICAN-808
OK, I don’t know the PC Battlefield games, but is Battlefield 3 similar to Battlefield 1943 or similar?
DuffyBox
It’s set in modern day, but I’m sure it will retain the classic BF formula, yes.
