Bulletstorm Contains ‘Randomly Generated Enemies’

Something that a lot of games struggle with is keeping the enemies you face nice and varied so you don’t always feel like you’re fighting the same guys. It doesn’t look like Bulletstorm is going to have that problem, as every enemy you see (outside of the bosses) will be randomly generated.  Every time a new batch of foes spawn, their skin color, body shape, hair, tattoos and armor are all randomly assembled.  Granted, if you’re like me, you likely won’t take the time to investigate their specific features before blasting them to bits, but this is still a neat feature and something a lot of gamers are sure to appreciate.  It kind of reminds me of the randomly generating guns that Borderlands had.

Have a look at the video below to see how it works.

  3. Very interested to see how this game turns out. I had a similar hmm-looks-quite-good feeling about Borderlands and ended up loving that.

  4. This game looks crackin’! A definate purchase for me

  5. Im a shoot and run kinda guy, dont stop to check out there fashion sense

  6. a nice feature, but KZ3 is out same time. Will get it when the price goes down I think.

    • your right of course, kz3 takes priority
will be hoping for a storm demo, still not convinced ill like it

  7. Not sure it needs randomly generated enemies but I love a game that keeps it fresh with randomly generated placement of enemies.

Left 4 Dead 2 is a cracking example. Other than a few key placements (and finales) hoards turn up if you hang around. Sometimes in drips and drabs but sometimes pouring at you like water. Equally, “specials” can turn up at any time and be any special too (hunter, smoker, witch, tank, etc). Keeps the game spring-fresh.

  8. That is freaking awesome! :)
