The latest trailer for the Mortal Kombat reboot is in, and guess who’s back in town? That’s right, series veteran Liu Kang has decided to join the party, with the trailer showing off several of his trademark moves. The end of the trailer also shows that the muscular fighter has a heart…it’s just not his.

Hope he isn’t the entral character this time round. There was far to much emphasis on him in the first 4 games. I was glad when they killed him off in Deadly Alliance.

I really hope this is awesome, it looks absolutely blimen fantastic. I hope it’s not all just flashy marketing

Sorry, but gameplay in this still looks way too stiff.

I agree to be honest, all the movements are still very floaty looking like there is no real sense of physics of connection with the other characters. Like watching WWC more than a really life or deatgh fist fight.

that was one thing that put me off previous MK game, too much emphasis on predefined combos and not enough scope for mixing and matching moves, something DOA allowed a more freestyle way of playing, where it was more about your reactions than memorising combos.
damn chrome spell checker, always tries to give me the american spelling of words. :(

What’s annoying for me is that, bust ladies aside. DOA is really what I expected MK to be when it moved to 3D. The fast paced fighting and combos, supernatural stories, multi tiered environments etc. Very reminicent of MK3

tbh im a little annoyed they have given him kano’s original fatality
Doofer_Nasenmann
Actually I think they didnt. It looks more like Terminator.

Kang, Smoke [Cyber] and Cyrax were my faves…..

Is it just me or does the narrator sound slightly like Batman?
