First Samurai Warriors Spot Pass Content Launches Today

One of the defining features of the Nintendo 3DS is its “Spot Pass” functionality. Unlike Street Pass, which is used as a platform to connect players while on the go, Spot Pass is best described as an automatic content manager. Developers can release free content and updates for their games, which are then downloaded straight to your 3DS as long as you have a wi-fi connection.

Tecmo KOEI announced prior to the launch of Samurai Warriors Chronicles that the game would be Spot/Street Pass functional and have today released the first in a chain of new missions which will be made available for free. Titled the Battle of Ariokajou, the new stage can be accessed via the Secret History (Gaiden) section of the story mode menu.

TK have yet to announce when the Spot Pass floodgates will open to western gamers.

  1. Ah damn, thought this was a ps3 thing at first. I wonder if SW will ever make its way to the black beast…
