Mortal Kombat Goes Gold, New Screenshots Released

NetherRealm Studios has announced that Mortal Kombat has officially gone gold. The game is set to release on April 19th in North America and on April 21st in Europe. Unfortunately, the game is still banned in Australia.

We’ve been playing Mortal Kombat a lot recently and we’re certainly impressed. From the gameplay to the visuals, it feels like this might be the game we’ve all been waiting for. Be sure to read our recent hands-on with Mortal Kombat if you haven’t already done so.

  2. Pre-ordered my copy at ShopTo for £30. Getting incredibly stoked for this.

  3. Demo is awesome. First full-prie title in a long time I’m tempted to prise the wallet open for…

    • *price

    • agreed, it just looks like such a well polished game. They’ve clearly worked hard on this for quite some time

  4. =D
    Hyper, took a week off work =P lol (Well starting 25th)
    Looking forward to it.

  5. Loving it but as Portal 2 is out the same day I won’t have enough time and money for both so will be getting this next month I think.

  6. cant wait for this game ! my brother and I love mortal kombat preodered for just £24 aswell :’)

  7. Looks good, but I’m going to get Portal 2 instead. I bought Portal: Still Alive last week, and I love it.
    …Need..More.. lol

  8. Will defo be getting this game, just not a day one for me :-)

  9. I wasn’t that impressed with the demo to be honest, though it looked nice it was just same old mortal kombat, though admittedly better looking. I can really see how people will be excited for this, but for me 2d fighters got boring 15 years ago. I rented the new agreed fighter and after a couple of nostalgic games returned it. Looks like they’ve done a good job with it, but this one’s not for me.

    • Huh? What’s agreed fighter? Stupid autocorrect combined with poor observational skills from me!

  10. I’ve been a Mortal Kombat fan from day 1. Trouble is I’m pretty crap at online play, have to stick to playing against my wife and son, at least I can win those matches.
