Dino Crisis 2 Rated For PSN

Now this is some interesting news to wake up to on a Monday morning. It seems that the PSOne classic ‘Dino Crisis 2’ has been rated by the ESRB for release on the US PSN, to be used on the PS3 and PSP.

Fans have been calling for a Dino Crisis revival for years, so we wonder if this release is to judge viability for a new game. Hopefully it is, although don’t hold your breath!

Sounding a bit like the TV hit ‘LOST’, Dino Crisis 2 involves an Island, some time travel, and hungry dinosaurs (ok, that bit doesn’t sound like LOST).

  1. This is just what I needed. Nicely puts paid to a disastrous nights sleep. :)
    Day one purchase.

  2. I have them both – originals, they havent aged well but good fun all the same :-)

    • I’ve only ever played the first Dino Crisis. Is number 2 better or worse?

      • 2nd is just as good if you ask me, great games.

      • Uh-huh. One and Two are brilliant. The third was a bit arse.
I’d love to see a reboot.

    • The third is apparantly bad, the second would probably be good

  3. Knowing the island of Lost, I’m sure there are one or two dinosaurs on there somewhere.
    Looking forward to this!

  4. Played the DC version of Dino Crisis, it was funny

  5. They really should do a Resi 4/5-style entry in the Dino Crisis series, that would make my balls tingle.

  6. This is where PSone classics really comes into it’s own, when releasing games like Dino Crisis 2 which were great, but are now damn hard to find physically. Hope the EU follows shortly thereafter, definite purchase from me.

  7. Anyone know how long it will take for this to appear on the store after gaining approval? I’d like this on my psp for when I go on holiday, not sure if that’s likely though lol :)
