Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Formally Announced

It is true, it is!

Who’s surprised? No, us neither. Halo: Combat Evolved was a seminal game in its day though and the thought of replaying it again, along with online multiplayer and HD visuals, is very enticing indeed. The online mode incorporates cooperative play as the whole campaign could be played with a partner. There will, of course, also be competitive multiplayer modes.

It all looks rather lovely. I expect Alex will be all over any game time he can grab with it. The game is expected on November 15th, presumably the US date as it’s a Tuesday. That’s remarkebly close to the Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 release dates. Multiplayer could suffer, maybe? We can’t wait to find out!

  1. Formally you mean?

    • balls, too rushed!
      Will fix :D

  2. Never played Halo and tbh i didnt think the trailer made me want to. It is held highly by friends but i don’t see what the fuss is all about.

    • Halo: CE is IMO the best the FPS I have ever played and none of the other have lived up to this despite them all being great games with the exception of ODST which was good.

  3. There are just way too many good games coming out at that time to make me really care about this.
There is Uncharted 3, Skyrim, BF3, MW3, and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.
    Just too much for me.

  4. Only good halo. Will get my little bro to dust off his old 360 and give the game a rental.

  5. Not surprissed but good to know its Officail and HALO 4!!!
