Dishonored Screens Emerge From QuakeCon

Screenshots of Arkane Studios’ upcoming stealth ’em up Dishonored have managed to sneak their way out of annual Texas gaming gathering, QuakeCon. Though we have yet to see the game in motion, it’s really starting to come together, sporting an incredibly unique setting and art style coupled with large doses of freedom in its use of gameplay and consequential mechanics.

We have no solid date for Dishonored; the screenshots below suggest the game is in good nick, but it won’t be until 2012 that we take to the industrialized streets of Dunwall.

  1. Between what little I know about this game and those screen shots, I think it sounds really cool and I’m all in support of some new ideas and a new IP.

And I couldn’t give two hoots about how it’s spelt either. All sorts of stuff gets ridiculous spelling all the time and if it’s made my Americans, it’s correct to them.

  2. I have no idea what this game is about but all of a sudden i’m very interested, looks great.

  3. Sounds interesting. Keeping my eyes on this.

  4. If anyone reads Offical Playstation Magazine UK, you would’ve know about Dishonored nearly a month ago. A cool idea is that you can get shot at pause time, possess the shooter’s body, walk in front of HIS OWN bullet, killing him. Then, transform back into yourself! Sounds sort of like Singularity. This could work really well. I’ll be keeping my eye on this one!

    • Yea I saw that feature too. Got me pretty excited, sounds like some very good ideas. Hope it does well ^^

  5. Quite enjoyed Dark Messiah, this should be good, nice period of time.

  6. Reminds me of half-life 2, in a good way.

    • There’s a reason for that – same art director.

  7. Is that Lincoln Burrows in screenshot 2?

    • i wondered what he was doing since prison break finished :)

  8. enjoying the look of the setting. hopefully everyone won’t have those sterotypical english accents american games and films think we all have

  9. Those tall robots and buildings reminded me of Brazil. Looks cool :)

    • There’s tall robots in the streets of Brazil? Awesome!

  10. Dishonoured, you have my interest. I wonder if it is a first person view or if it allows the player to switch between first and third person view?
