  1. Awesome.
    Any idea on the price?
I’m thinking of picking up a Sharpshooter now, but I’ll hold off if it’s a decent deal- the extra Move and Nav would be a good idea.

    • Trading in a Move, a Nav, and Sharpshooter this weekend. Sharpshooter is crap IMO.
Didn’t work properly with killzone 3 or Dead space extraction. And it doesn’t work well with Resistance 3 either, as I found out this weekend :(

Spent hours calibrating, moving the camera around, the room around, the pictures on the walls around (reflections apparently)….!!Sick of it.
Gonna keep hold of one Move, in the hope that someone actually releases something worth buying at some point!?

Anyhoo… Dont let me put you off :)

      • Thanks for that…
I’d love to try one out before I buy one, but there’s nobody nearby who has one.
I remember the Killzone 3 beta was fun with the Move, maybe I’ll like it with the Sharpshooter?
Ah, I’ve birthday money to burn anyway, might as well go for it.

      • Killzone was the ‘best’ of the bunch. I did manage a full play through with the sharpshooter. But it took some serious perseverance.

For me it just wouldn’t hold its calibration and the crosshairs would randomly ‘drift’across the screen, so you’d end up pointing 12″ off the side of the TV to center the aim.

Check out some youtube vids before you buy is my advice…

      • Just FYI DirtyHabit, and anyone else thinking of getting one, the Sharpshooter is an absolute, utter, total pile of garbage.

It feels cool to hold with the pump action and all that, but basically all you can use it for is on-rails shooters and even that is awkward. Trying to walk in a straight line in Killzone 3 and Resistance 3 with the sharpshooter is a joke, even after hours of practice, the crosshair calibration does not work properly in any game (and I have a room environment that is perfect for it), you can never get the crosshair to consistently point where your gun is actually pointing, it is always off to one side or drifts the further towards the screen edges you go, and even in things like Dead Space Extraction, you have to press X on the the top of the controller near the end of the ‘barrel’ for some actions which is plain ridiculous.

Do not buy a Sharpshooter. I’ve played most of the compatible games. Total Waste of Money(TM).

      • moving the pictures on the walls, thats nuts! that would drive anyone up the wall! Can’t blame ye for been sick of it.

  2. yessssssssssssss golden eye

    • I must say, what a quality avatar you have yourself there

      • I have to agree though someone else is probably thinking what a shit avatar.

      • Out of curiousity how the hell to ye put up an avatar here?

      • Look up gravatar, you can link it with the WordPress account :)

  3. Could be enough to draw in a second wave of Move-users with the right marketing.

  4. Nice one, will have to blow the dust off my Move controller…

  5. I can’t believe they’re giving us the game on a Blu-Ray disc, LOL!! :P
Good work from the Activision PR department there

    • I read it as the movie first, then realised they were actually highlighting the fact it’s a PS3 game on blu-ray.
Did they think Resistance 3 really released on a vinyl disc?

  6. Move is going in the bin for me, just not supported enough for my liking.

      • obviously not because most of them don’t interest me.

      • Well, it sounds like it’s less the support but more your own gaming interests that’s the problem.
A bit of advice for you though- don’t put the Move in the bin, trade it in!

      • As much as I love the move (bought a second one earlier today) half of that list is unreleased games anyway. For me the LBP2 patch has more than justified having a couple of em

  7. Looking forward to this. I’m genuinely praying that it lives up to my hopes… Does anyone know if they’re retaining the 4-way split screen functionality of the original?

    • The Wii version had 4-way split screen, so I don’t see why this version wouldn’t.

      • Out of interest, did it permit online play with three remote players being displayed on the split-screen? Only reason I ask is because I used the other three ‘screens’ as my radar, more or less – I knew where players were from what they were looking at!

      • I’m not sure, but I don’t think so. I don’t think you could play two player (or more) split-screen online either.

    • Pretty sure it does..

  8. If it hasn’t got a 4 player off-line split-screen mode with Bots then i won’t bother getting it(i will stick with my N64 version)
(+ yeah i know the N64 version didn’t have Bots, but come on this is 2011! ! !) LoL

    • Last years Wii version didn’t have bots, so while it’s not impossible I would think it is improbable.

  9. I’d love a Austin Powers shooter (James Bond? pfft boring)

  10. good news, would love to get this but don’t have the money :/
