The ESRB has rated the Ubisoft title ‘I Am Alive’, and described the game as follows:
“This is an action game in which players assume the role of a man who must find his family in a post-apocalyptic world. From a third-person perspective, players traverse through city ruins and use a machete to kill human enemies in melee-style combat.
Battles are accompanied by realistic gunfire, slashing sounds, and cries of pain; characters emit brief splashes of blood when hit. Players have the ability to kill or knock unconscious wounded/vulnerable enemies via finishing moves (e.g., throat slashing, impaling, pistol-whipping); these scenes are highlighted by close-up camera angles and increased player control (e.g., on-screen prompts with button-press sequences).”
The game has had a long and mysterious development, evolving from first person shooter to third person, and subsequently being taken off the developers and moved in house, then suffering multiple delays.
Check out the trailer below from Gamescom – or just imagine Uncharted in the style of Limbo.

BIGAL-1992
Alive, alive-o! As for the game, they seriously need to get their act together to get this game out the door.
Sitorimon
I really like the trailer and love the concept but I was hoping for something more along the lines of SOS The Final Escape / Disaster Report after the first trailer years ago. Why does every single game have to be all brooding and mature! I’m just glad its still going though.
Origami Killer
Really intrigued by this game and have been for a while. But the switch to third person is something I dont want. I think a disaster/survival could be better in a first person perspective, makes it fell like you are actually there.

Not sure if this game looks good yet. I like the idea, and post apocalyptic world. Hopefully it turns out good.
RudeAwakening
Wasn’t to sure about the art syle but as the trailer went on it seems quite good, i like the brief flashes of orange and red contrasting against the black and white.
