Dead Island ‘Bloodbath Arena’ DLC Release Date Announced

November 22nd 2011 is the release date for the Bloodbath Arena DLC for Dead Island, Deep Silver has announced. The DLC will release across Xbox 360, PS3 and PC all on the same day.

“In the “Bloodbath Arena” DLC four different arenas offer new challenges that can be played alone or in coop mode. It’s a desperate fight for survival where waves after waves of unrelenting zombies attack, one more gruesome than the next! In this DLC characters can loot experience points and items and bring them over to the campaign mode. Players can show off their skills in zombie fighting with the newly implemented leaderboards. The brain wave bomb, a new exclusive weapon, tops this DLC package off.”

If you have a pre order edition of Dead Island then the Bloodbath Arena DLC is a free add on. If you didn’t pre order Dead Island then the DLC will cost you 800 MS Points or EUR 9.99. I guess that’d be £9.99 in the UK, though the price will have to be confirmed.

  1. Awesome, free for me, and I should Platinum it this week too! :)

Wonder when the Ryder White Campaign will be released. Also, Banoi Excerpt #025.

  2. Enjoyed this game. Cant see myself going back to it tho, especially for a tenner. Fiver maybe…

    • Some of the 17 new mods they added in the last patch are pretty good. Such as “Pick-a-choo”! :)

  3. About time. I’ve not played at all since I got the platinum.
As far as I was aware, they already said the dlc would be £6.99 for people without the free pre order code.

    • That would be good – a tenner seems pretty expensive, especially when they may have upset some of their fan base what with the initial save game & trophy issues. I think the above is just an estimate so you may be correct with your pricing.

  4. Finally. Will be getting this free, but still took their time. Don’t even play Dead Island now

  5. Perhaps for the sequel they should call it’s DLC a ‘post-order bonus’ to be safe.
