Activision “Misspoke” Over Call of Duty Elite PC Launch

Yesterday, a comment posted by Activision on its Twitter page casted doubt over whether the Call of Duty Elite service would ever reach PC.

The offending remark, posted in response to a fan query, read as follows:

“We are working towards a universal Elite experience but we cannot guarantee if or when a version will be available for the PC.”

The wording of the statement certainly suggested that CoD: Elite might not be coming to PC but don’t panic. Activision have retconned the aforementioned tweet and promised a release date announcement soon:

“We misspoke. Our goal has always been to provide a free PC offering for ELITE. Stay tuned for an update as timing is still being determined.”

  1. Woops, likes it was a cut & paste job from the list of generic replies from a vetted Q&A sheet, but they used the wrong one.

  2. They got so much criticism, that they changed their mind about it?

  3. im so glad i didnt cave in and buy it for the PC, seems like a farce

    • The game or just the PC version? I bought game, and gave it to my brother after a day. People like it…but after so many COD’s in the past, I think I’m done with the series.

      • The game in general (also the PC version you can see clearly they dont care about the PC gamers at all luckily we have our BF and Counter-strikes) I can see why people like it, but its just so boring and samey I dont think i can ever go back to a FPS after playing Skyrim. So much to see such little time !
