NeverDead Release Date Revealed

Konami has revealed NeverDead’s release date, which is February 3rd 2012.

NeverDead follows Bryce Boltzmann, an immortal character who can’t die hence the title name. His job is to stop the demons who are threatening Earth with help from sidekick Arcadia. Seems a standard affair.

However, there is a twist to the gameplay: though Bryce can’t die, he can be torn apart and also use his own body as a weapon by throwing his limbs at enemies.

“For NeverDead, we‘ve gone all out to change the approach the player takes in battle,” NeverDead’s creator Shinta Nojiri explained.

“Losing a limb is a mere inconvenience and Bryce’s physical skills allow a wealth of ways to take out the enemy – from close-range combat, to throwing limbs into clusters of monsters and shooting them remotely! ”

“This adds a level of humour to the game that brings the world-weary main character to life, while players can revel in game worlds that can are fully interactive and eminently destructible.”

Shinta Nojiri has a history of blockbusters, working on MGS2, MGS3 and MGS 4.  Rebellion Software has helped with development duties.
