Uncharted: Golden Abyss Gets Another Vita Trailer

The PS Vita’s nearly here, with a little over two weeks before the system hits Japan.  We’re hoping to have ours with us within the same sort of time period, and obviously Uncharted will be the first game we grab.

In the meantime, check out this brand new trailer for the game, which shows Drake in fine form (and back to jungle environments) and some serious technical grunt on display from the Vita.

I still think the touch screen controls detract from what’s essentially a core title, but developers Bend are clearly up to the task.

You can read what Blair thought of Golden Abyss when he played it a few weeks back, here.

  1. Looks great, but really weird with it all in Japanese.

    • Yeah would rather watch the trailer with no sound :P

  2. That is such a mindf**k in Japanese.

  3. Blimey that Nolan North is talented, he does Japanese as well as Autobot and Turtle!

    • Yup, he’s extremely diverse.

Graphics look great, animations are quality as usual. Can’t wait.

  4. Graphics look fantastic, except for the glints in glass, which just look pants. Such a minor complaint, I know!

Can we get the Japanese voices over here? I love them.

  5. Looks great, even when watching it on my HDtv. One of few games so far that i would be tempted to buy a Vita for.

  6. Really didn’t like the touchscreen options for this.

    • They ARE options, right?
      I hope so…

      • I remeber reading they would make ALL touch controls optional.

    • Good point – is touch screen climbing and fighting optional or forced on us?

      • The climbing stuff is certainly optional, but I’m not sure about some of the fighting (I think it is optional though) or mini-game style stuff.

  7. Very excited for this!
Looks like it will return to the simple purity of the first game which is by far the greatest of the series in my opinion.
Obviously 2 and 3 are great games, but I just can’t help but feel like they lost something amongst all the globetrotting and location jumping.

  8. I would like this :-).
To bad we have to wait a couple of months…

By the way, did you guys know that Mr. Drake has his own magazine?
It is called Drake and is an adventure lifestyle magazine. Very cool. Perhaps it is only published in The Netherlands though.
