SEGA Delays Anarchy Reigns Until July 2012

SEGA has announced that Anarchy Reigns, the online action combat game, has been delayed until July 2012.

Senior Vice President of Marketing at SEGA West, Gary Knight said:

“Anarchy  Reigns brings a new take to the brawler genre and we have decided to take a little more time to deliver the full knockout punch. I can’t reveal much now, but it has something to do with scale. Let’s just say traditional one-on-one or two versus two fighters will be a thing of the past.”

Platinum Games, developer of Bayonetta & Vanquish, has development duties for Anarchy Reigns too.  If you’re unfamiliar with the title check out the trailer below.

  1. Quite enjoyed this at Eurogamer. Jack is very, very, very overpowered however ;)

    • It was good, but i could see it getting ‘old’ really quickly – As far as i am concerned though if they made a singleplayer walk along beat ’em up thing as singleplayer (or co-op) content & had this as the multiplayer mode, that would be great.

      • Yeah I was getting a bit bored even after the two rounds I played heh. Given its put together by Platinum games it will tank regardless of its quality (Bayonetta, Madworld, etc) so it will no doubt be on Zavvi, etc for around £17.99 before September.

  2. I have actually been looking forward to this. Hated missing Madworld so this looks to fill the void. Delay if need be. Just make sure it is good when released.
