Ubisoft Unveils Vita Launch Title Line-Up

Whenever a new console launches, you can be sure that there will be a stack of Ubisoft titles ready to release alongside it.

Unsurprisingly, this trend is set to continue with the Playstation Vita and the publisher has announced the games it will be releasing on 22nd February.

Rayman Origins, Lumines, Michael Jackson: The Experience, Asphalt and Dungeon Hunter Alliance will all be available on Vita release day – swelling the console’s already enviable launch title list further.

One Vita title that won’t be releasing on launch is the planned Assassin’s Creed title for the platform, which has been marked for a ‘calendar 2012’ release.

Ubisoft has also confirmed a 16th March release date for the 3DS version of the lovely Rayman Origins. The PC and console versions of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier are set to release during March, too.

Finally, a title called Funky Barn is coming to the 3DS sometime in June, so maybe we’ll see some dancing livestock, who knows?

  1. Is this the same Rayman Origins that is on the PS3? If it is then it might just give them the sales boost they deserve/need.

    • As far as I know it’s just a port of the same game, which is brilliant. I’d buy it a second time if I was to buy a Vita.

  2. Hopefully they give a few more details about the 3DS version of Rayman Origins in the coming weeks. Despite loving the PS3 demo I’m yet ot get a copy simply because i’d prefer to play it on a handheld, but I need to know if it supports multiplayer (preferably download play)

  3. Rayman is the same as the PS3 version. Been waiting for this game for awhile now. Really tempted to get this on PS3 with the recent drop in price to under £20.

    Roll on Feb 22.

  4. It has only just occurred to me that I’ll be missing the launch of the Vita by 2 days since I’ll be heading off to NZ and Oz – the perfect trip to get plenty of playtime from it with.

    Grrrrrr.

  5. There’s only a handful of Vita games I’m interested in and Assassins Creed is one of them.

    • I’m guessing Michael Jackson: The Experience is another.

  6. Lumines!

That makes the Vita worth buying all by itself.

    • So true. Lumines is the better Tetris!

  7. The more games the better!

  8. How exactly do you play a dance game on Vita? :P (michael jackson game)

    • It’s not a dancing game, it’s a business game. You take one corpse, and then you try to make as money out of it as possible, the winner is the one without shame that get nauseous last. That’s the “Michael Jackson experience” from the music industry perspective.

    • You dance with your fingers?

    • I’ve played the game on iPad. You basically swipe the required patterns on the touchscreen. It’s OK, but if it’s £30+ it’d be hard to recommend.

      • That’s quite bad! Personally I dont think any dance games should release on it if its not really a dance game :P
