EA and Klei Entertainment have announced that Shank 2 will release on February 8th 2012 on PSN, XBLA and PC. The title will cost 800 MS points on XBLA and £7.99/ €9.99 on PSN and PC.
Shank 2 is said to have more precise controls, an addition of new weapons, smarter enemy AI and an increased range of combos, while maintaining the series 2D style. Shank 2 will also feature a new Survival mode which will feature a co op option, both local and online, and allow players to take on waves of enemies.
The original Shank scored a good 7/10 in its review, where Peter describing it as a ” fun brawler with sumptuous cartoon visuals and over-the-top violence.” Though he did concede that Shank did have “numerous flaws.” Let’s hope those flaws have been addressed in the sequel.
