According to SEGA’s LinkedIn, a brand new Birmingham studio going by the name of Hardlight has been setup and are looking to expand. In the light of all the recent UK studio closures, this is a good thing.
Hardlight is SEGA’s third UK based studio, the page highlights, and their first project will be exclusively for the PS Vita and due ‘late 2012’.
There’s no further clues other than the notion that Hardlight will be working closely with SEGA’s R&D Studio and combines talent from a ‘variety of game genres and backgrounds’.
The job role is an engine programmer, and is responsible for the ‘implementation of game engine code as driven by the title lead programmer & in collaboration with design & art team members.’
