First Sleeping Dogs Footage Arrives

Sleeping Dogs, the new name for True Crime: Hong Kong, is set for release in the second half of this year. Square Enix released a first live action trailer just last week (and I love it) but now a few select outlets have been allowed to see it in Hong Kong.

There are some impressions seeping out from places like OPSMUK and there’s some gameplay footage in the latest episode of Inside Gaming from Machinima. That episode (below) features an interview with a couple of the guys from United Front Games, who are working on the game, and plenty of Alpha build footage.

  1. Looks rather similar to the original PS2 true crime. Not for me i’m afraid

    • To be fair, apart from the poor breaking glass effect (which you have to remember may not be the final product), i wouldn’t say it looks any worse or better than SR3 & that was a great game.

      Colour me interested.

  2. Look interesting Ill keep an eye out for this one.

  3. looks a bit naff

  4. that looks like it could be lots of fun.

  5. my kind of game on my get list.

    • Me too mate – Loved True Crime back on PS2 & just happy this is seeing the light of day!

  6. Doesn’t look too impressive, i had large expectations but it does say it’s alpha stage so i’ll keep watching, i hope the fighting get tightened up and the animations get better, the kick was the only good looking move in the fights.

  7. Brilliant, GTA not in America, looking forward to this, prob a rental though

  8. This looks quite good will be keeping an eye on this.
