PSN “Gamers’ Choice Awards 2012” Nominees Announced

The 2012 nominees for the PSN Gamers’ Choice Awards have been announced. Starting from tomorrow, in the US at least, you can head to the PlayStation Store and cast your vote for your favourite games in nine of the ten categories. Doing so will bag you a free Gamers’ Choice Awards XMB theme for each vote cast.

That’s not all, though:

“You can also cast your vote online in one special community category, Best PSN Indie, and you’ll receive a voucher code to be redeemed in the PlayStation Store for a free exclusive XMB theme.”

The winners of each category will be announced on March 6th, and will be discounted by 30% in the PlayStation Store for one week, with a 50% discount for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

  1. Limbo and AC2 are probably the only games I’d vote for, the rest are pretty average if that. So many great games not even recognised.

  2. Hopefully the EU list will be different (and have better nominees), if we even get a Gamers Choice thingy that is. I’d love to buy some good games at 50% off… like the GoW Origins collection or the Ico one.

  3. how can they have Dissidia prologus as a nominee?? its a freaking demo…and in the same category as the full game counterpart….that a bit stupid to me

  4. Motorstorm RC is the best PSN game ive played in the last 18 months!

  5. I like a lot of them myself.

  6. They better port crono trigger and xenogears to the eu market, we mosty missed these epic games on thier first run on the psx (i had to play them as a downloaded game on on old chipped psx) so they better bring it over, i dont want to have to make a us account and have mutiple trophy sets.

    • If you create a US account, you can still then play the game on your main account. Several of my games have been bought on the US store but the trophies work just fine with my main UK account.

  7. Bit of a crap list. Tetris?! That’s is on every platform known to gamerkind, i think. I’m sure there are more deserving PSN exclusives that should have been included in the list. Also, no Final Fantasy game in the PS1 classics? :O

Hang on, isn’t Dissida Prologus a demo? If so then what the hell is it doing on the list?
