New Assassin’s Creed III Info

Game Informer have posted new information regarding Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed III.

The game will feature seasonal cycles which will impact the game play and the hero, Connor, will also also make a transition as we follow him through various stages of his life, starting as a boy in his Mohawk village.

The cities of New York and Boston will appear and characters include George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and Charles Lee. Historical events include the Boston Tea Party and the Battle of Bunker Hill.

Around a third of the game’s missions will occur out in the Frontier, a huge wilderness setting with plenty of tree climbing opportunities. When the seasons change, Connor will find that bodies of water freeze solid, offering new paths of exploration.

We are off to poke Assassin’s Creed with a big pointy stick next week and see the game in action, so stay tuned.

  1. Sounds great!

    • Agreed. Game seems to be freshening up….

  2. Sounds like this will be a lengthy game, with a variety of settings and stuff to do. Excellent!

  3. Sounds great. Hopefully will give the series a bit of spark that it has started to lose recently. Still need to sit down and play revelations. Maybe after Mass Effect 3

  4. I’m seriously impressed with the direction this game is taking and it’s jumping up my most wanted list. Sounds utterly fantastic.

    • It’s already at the top of mine! So glad they’re taking a new direction with this game. I love this series, but it was starting to get a bit stale with Ezio.

  5. Really looking forward to this one. As much as I’ve enjoyed all of the series so far AC:Revelations was a little boring towards the end. I can’t wait to get to grips with the new setting, etc.

  6. I really want this game now, i love AC all but the 1st one which i found uber boring.

Just worried about the cities as the climbing of the massivly tall building and dense areas are great. How crammed were the cities in US back then?

  7. Sounding & looking more like AC vs RDR every time i see a picture or read something about it. It’s an interesting turn to take though, so i just hope it works out.

Liking everything i have seen thus far though. :)

    • I too am getting a RDR vibe from it :)

      • Me three. It’s an excellent vibe. :)

  8. Really liking the look of this!

  9. Wait, is TSA getting a demo!??!

  10. A huge wilderness with some trees? *yawn*
