Family Guy: Back To The Multiverse Confirmed

Activision has announced Family Guy: Back To The Multiverse, which will release later this year, though specific consoles have not been confirmed.

“Fans of Family Guy will love that we’ve taken some of the series’ most iconic and memorable moments and built them into an impressive and uncensored video game,” said David Oxford, Executive Vice President, Activision.

“Anyone who watches the show will appreciate how much we have adhered to its rich and twisted universe and characters.”

Family Guy: Back To The Multiverse will use the show’s voice actors and the story will be written with the show’s writers.

  1. I loved the Multiverse episode. Hope this game is going to be ok.

    • Think that’s my favourite episode

      • Agreed. The pig with fists is hilarious.

      • it’s one of mine too, but they’ve had so many great episodes i don’t think i could narrow down any single episode as the number one.

  2. People how didn’t know what family guy would think it is a Horror series from that blurb. Anyway, can’t wait to here more about this ‘uncensored’ game with its ‘twisted universe and characters’. :P

  3. Freakin’ sweet!

  4. Hmmm… I trusted a Family Guy game before. How wrong I was…

  5. i hope it’s better than the last one.

but i remain hopeful, but not optimistic about this.

there is potential there, just don’t turn it into some sub par platformer, please, that’s what these games always turn into.

take a hint from telltale games, they can do comedy in games, without resorting to not very good platforming.

i’d rather play a family guy game in the style of something like Sam & Max rather than what the simpsons game turned into.

  6. Probably worst as the show

  7. Activison? No thanks.

    • Whats wrong with Activision?

      • They have a no dragons in their big FPS policy. Bar stewards! And they refuse to release the chips DLC for their fish game.

      • Americans can’t even design good Dragon A.I. nevermind the lack of chips dlc…?

  8. Dunno about this game but ever since Family Guy went ‘HD’ I just don’t find it very funny – most of the jokes are just trying too hard to be funny, I hope it goes back to its roots somewhat, I haven’t watched the newer episodes because of this.

    • See I’ve found that I find the first 3 series/seasons the funniest as they make fun mainly of the characters and a select few celebrities whereas since they’ve been brought back its been nothing but pop culture and celbrity bashing. Though the episode still have their moments

      • They have the odd moments but nowhere near as many as they used to. I don’t like what they’ve done to Quagmire either, they’ve made him a lot more serious imo

    • Same. Family Guy was an excellent show initially (first 3-4 seasons) but focuses too much on controversial (read: non-funny) humour these days.

  9. I hope it’s better than The Simpsons Videogame – it’s the first and only TV-show-based game I’ve ever bought. It was ok but got boring quickly. Having said that, I’ve played and enjoyed The Simpsons Hit and Run and The Simpsons Wrestling. A Family Guy game based on the multiverse could be really fun, but it could also be awful. I guess we’ll have to wait and see…

  10. Could be an excellent game. Although i think Quagmire will get censored in a lot of countries as fondling the woman, kidnapping the woman etc.. may be not be acceptable. Giggity

I’ve played the first FG game and it was enjoyable, average but enjoyable. I hope they include the giant chicken as a boss fight as it screams to be put into a game.

I really hope that they take the piss out of the current generation of gaming. Although, i fear Acti would not be bothered to advertise it as they tend to be very lazy with games that are not their flagship titles.
